@Tammy: Well you know I\'m in, and you know my standard.
I\'m hoping to paint a character, because I believe that I could do better service to a single figure in the timescale we have.
Howeve in the interests of the whole project if you require me to do otherwise, I will yield to your authority.

Yoo\'s da boss gal! ;):D

Edit: I\'ve got space available as well and will be constructing a page once we get the starting flag raised. Wouldn\'t mind links etc...
Oh and I\'ve flagged this up with Terry Adams at ElectricOcean as well.

Great job Tammy and I\'m more than happy that it be you who organises who paints what. Just one side note. Becca already has a list of the CVs and it\'s up to date. Sorry you only learn it now. If it\'s not too late, try to get it through her.

[edit]Forget it, I replied too late, Becca beat me to it ;)[/edit]

Hi all, the thread has doubled since I last checked in.

My name is Bevan Davies, and I\'m 34 years old living in Melbourne, Australia. My current ranking was somewhere around 400 last time I checked. I\'ve won and placed in a few local competitions, nothing major though.

Willing to paint anything in this project, even a pebble.

Cheers

Patrick \"Mosch\" Gerk, from Germany. Never won anything mentionable. Current rating is

I would be prepared to paint anything, you can see my standard in my gallery (let\'s say CMON 6 to 7). Just don\'t give me a whole unit of Gnoblars... personal preferance would be bull ogres.

Here are the sketches I promissed for the color references (the skin came out a bit blueish, so look at the color names below):

OgerSketch1.jpg

OgerSketch2.jpg

OgerSketch3.jpg

OgerSketch4.jpg

OgerSketch5.jpg

Skin : Graveyard Earth+Shadow Grey, then, Kommando Khaki, then bleached bone
Pants : Scorched Brown, then Bestial Brown, then Vomit Brown
Steel : Boltgun Metal, Black Wash, Mithril Silver
Rust : Scorched Brown, Vermin Brown, Firery Orange
Brass : Dwarf Bronze, Chestnut Wash, Dwarf Bronze + Mithril Silver highlight
Tatoos/Body Paint : Regal Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Ultramarine Blue + Ice Blue
Boots : Chaos Black, Codex Grey highlight

These are only guidelines, if you don\'t have the exact color, never mind, just try to get as close as possible ;).

OK, I have been looking at the Game colour Vs GW paints for the ogres... here is what I have come up with...

Flesh tones:
GW
Graveyard Earth + Shadow Grey

VGC
Earth + Sombre grey

Swatches

+
sombregrey.jpg

Then highlights with
GW
Kommando Khaki and Bleached Bone

VGC
Khaki + Bonewhite

Swatches

I think dark Blue warpaint will be cool... something like GW Regal blue/VGC Imperial Blue

That help at all?

I like the colour scheme and think that it should be reasonably quick to get a good coherent army together.

green stuff can you send that sketch to my e-mail address so I have it for reference?

You know, my wife came by last night to see what had me so engrossed on the computer and then I started telling her about this and that and she sat down beside me and read for a little bit, making a comment here and there and then simply got up, gave me a kiss and said \'its nice to see you doing something good\' and walked off.

That has to be the first time the wife hasn\'t told me to \'turn that off\' or \'put the paint brushes off\'. W00t .. this is helping me here more than just a \'fuzzy warm feeling\'.

lol

Seriously though, looks like things are being organized quite nicely here and I can\'t wait to become a part of it, and I am happy to paint anything. We all of course are yearning to get our hands on something \'big\', but its no big worry for me.

On a side note, don\'t get too upset if GW decides to not sign on board with this. I honestly hope they do, as I think the donations and the exposure will be grand for the paint aid. Keep in mind for those jumping on board, you might be required to pull the $$$ out of your own pocket to help build this army if it comes down to it.

As always, I\'m on board.

I really have no problem with this. Getting the minis, well, that\'s another question :)

I also don\'t mind to paint those little guys that nobody seems to like lol
I can paint a few, depending on how much time we have to paint them, but if I could choose, no more than two.

@ Grenstuff: Nice sketches! Regarding the tattoos, do we get to choose the ones we like best, or should we all agree on one for the army to look more cohesive? I like the face one.

Hi all Tammy I will see if I can get the ball rolling here a little quicker I am going to the glen burnie GW today and will try to get steve a heads up about your email I know he gets swomped will a lot

I will also hit my frinds at Gale Force 9 up for same nice costem movement trys. They mace some nice movement trys out of lazer cut wood and can put the logo in when we get one. you can check out the stuff here www.gf9.com

@Galante : Thanks :). I think it might be interesting to have tatoos and war paints per regiment, that way it\'ll be easier to recognise them in a melee. Tammy will probably assgn that kind of information when the time comes to paint.

Concerning the Gnoblars, it would be nice to define a paint scheme for them too (highlighting with a white or yellow mix doesn\'t give the same result) ... checking WD ... apparently they start out with Catachan Green, then add Fortress Grey.

I think we should choose our own tats - they would be an individualistic thing. Maybe pick a theme like they all need a blue hand print somewhere...

Regarding tats lets not go too complicated ther are some people me included who realy struggle with freehand so something simple would be ideal.

Just my humble opinion.

Well, I\'m in too, I didn\'t think I would have the time, but seeing that we\'re painting max 5 minis each, I can squeeze it in. And the cause is of course fantastic, especially since I couldn\'t give very much money being a poor student...

Details:
Name&Location: Anja Wettergren, Stockholm, Sweden
Years Painting: 2,5
Trophies: I\'ve won a couple of internet competitions as well as 1st, 2nd and overall prize at the local GW store.
Ranking: In my sig (between 150 and 160)

I\'m willing to paint anything, even gnoblars.

Concerning body art like tatoos, does anybody have something against piercings (on the minis)? Nothing too special, just eye-brows and on the arms.

@Anja : welcome aboard :).
