@greenstuff. I\'ve been in touch with Aeronaudts last night as I helped translate their news item. I\'ve not yet suggested the combined banner thing (just thought of it) but he will ask the guy who made their banner to make another one in English.

Here is the link to the English announcement of their project: http://www.creafigs.com/page.php?id=332
And this is the French version:

By the way, I just checked the paint aid set. For some reason the button for downloading the English and Spanish versions don\'t work. As to those buttons, perhaps it\'s an idea to translate them into \"Français\", \"Deutsch\" and \"Español\".
Do you need a Dutch version of the text?

Tammy is quite busy at the moment
I can well imagine!
Has anyone heard what\'s happening with GW?
Have they proved that they are Human after all? I really hope so. There are staff I know who are seriously interested in helping us pull this together, with or without HQ\' s assistance.

Oh and Nathan (FF) I sent a copy of your Press release to our Press Officer at work for a bit more \"Flag Waving\". Many thanks for doing that, it is really professional.

The down load links are double checked and working it is possible that
if you have a security program it may be causing the issue for downloading on my computer it requires me to click the if you have a problem to \"click here\" link before it will accept
When in doubt just select text and copy: then you can paste in word program with out an issue at all.
Hope this helps

Nope, didn\'t get offended one bit. I\'ve had editors in the past that would red line every bit that I put out. Not so terribly thin skinned these days.

:D

@ Dragonsreach

Glad that it has been of some use to you, I\'m happy that it has been as well received as it has been. Hopefully it\'ll help out a bit.

@ Tidoco2222

My personal preference is for WHITE primer myself as I personally dislike painting over black. What I could do in three or so layers then endes up being five to eight layers to get the color the way I want, specially the lighter ones. That being said though, I\'ll use black if it comes to it.

I do not think that the colour primer to use for the minis will be an issue I think people should use what they are comfortable with, I merely said that GW in their write ups on painting minis nearly always go for black.

Yup I agree with tidocco, I usually use black primer but somtimes I have to use white and the finnal look is the same. Ther are just some things that are easier with black and other with white. So I guess everyone should go with what they like.

A little summary of tonights meeting:

*) for the moment none of us have had any official news from GW (although, many of the staff are supporting the project). We have decided to still go ahead with the project, with maybe GW\'s help later on when things become more concrete;
*) the last count indicated 45 people participating on the project. Thank you everybody for being on board :);
*) Tracy is constantly updating the Paint Aid site, and we are going to link the Creafig project;
*) Tammy is busy assigning people, and Tracy will put it up on the site;
*) Tammy is going to paint up a Tyrant and do a step by step article (this Tyrant won\'t be part of the army). Peter is going to give the Citadel/Vallejo equivalents. This is for next week;
*) We are going to use black primer;
*) Tammy will shortly be putting up a new thread : Paint Aid phase 2. This will officially kick off the project :bouncy::flip::bouncy:.

I hope I didn\'t miss anything.

Mike, could you please lock the thread?

See you all in Paint Aid phase 2 and on http://paintaid.moonfruit.com/ :D.

45 people, WOW:eek: .

WEll I was looking in the Ogre Kingdom army bookm tady, and I calculated hat\'s possible to have about 45 ogre\'s in one 3000 pts army. Maybe we could make a 4000 pts list just in case we have to few models to paint(yes I know about he gnoblars, but they are smaller than one ogre :rolleyes: )

hm ok but if were 45 people perhaps even a 3000 pts army isnt enough, i mean that would roughly be 1 model per person i guess (apart from the gnoblars)
edit: ok Jappobra beat me on that topic

do we include wip shots in the stage 2 or the wip thread?

Sorry Joshua, there will be gnoblars;).

For the Phase 2 thread : yes you can put up WIP, but there will also be a space on the site.

of course there will be gnobblars, i just left them out for the calculation since nobody would like to paint only one or two gnoblars ;)
my original imagination of this was one person painting either one unit or one character (i dont reckon that a unit of 6 ogre bulls, painted in 6 different styles and skill levels by 6 different persons look too coherent)
with 45 people and perhaps one or two persons more to come it will be one ogre or 5 gnoblars per person
edit: come to think about, on the other hand if the army gets too big it gets harder and harder to find buyers.
there might be a few people willing to spend $5000 for a really really goodlooking 3k or 4k points army but there are not many people who can pay more :\\
ah whatever i leave thinking to you \"organizers\" :innocent:

I really don\'t see a problem with this. I guess it would be kind of cool to have two different gnoblars painted by two different people.
Also, you can dedicate yourself to your mini, and everything will be painted more quickly.
My opinion only :)
