Bah! Missed the link before it was removed. Unbelievable that he thought (a) he\'d get away with it... and (b) it was an okay thing to do

There\'s an online store in the UK who is using my osl diorama of HF Sebastian without permission as the sales pic in their store. I had thought about asking them to remove it but thought ... what the hell... However, this guy\'s MO is a different thing all together.

Might get my lawyer mate to write up a real bowel-mover of a letter just for a laugh!!!lol

Wouldn\'t sending \'Large Derek\' and his baseball-wielding minions be even more bowel-moving lol

It looks like the whole affair has galvanised the posse into forming something similar themselves. There\'s always a silver-lining lol

Whyspyr, with you gloating over his duff Karmic prospects, does that mean you\'d end up in sufferance too with your negativity of emotion? Anyone? ???

In specific issue is the denial of my right to be identified as the author of the article “Painting Faces with Expression” written by myself Mike Dodds, (Known on CMON as Dragonsreach) in accordance with the Copyright, Design and Patents Act of 1988.
My right to be identified as the author of this article included in the book “The ULTIMATE Fantasy Miniature Painting Ebook” is undeniable as photographs of myself are used as demonstrations in said article.

Were there other articles apart from cmon ones?

Has anyone sent his IP address to other forum owners? Might be able to track down who he is... or do we already know?

Maybe we should employ Rev as our Intermediary. Sort of like a UN emissary. While he\'s not looking a couple of our more bellicose members can manouvre in for a surprise lawsuit.

take him to the cleaners.
make an example of him, he has broken copywright laws and committed fraud.

he has taken advantage of people who wish to help others for free and those who have been seeking help.

otherwise pay him a visit and break his arms and legs. i have no problem doing this if need be.

As I didn\'t keep a copy of the offending document, can someone confirm that ALL of our articles up to a certain date are included?

I\'d suggest contacting Klute as he has obtained the offending item.

Peter if I am correct he would not be able to keep anything he has made from it but we probably wouldnt see anything either.
Chern Ann could likely sue for loss of earnings or such if he were planning on doing a book himself using the articles.
But Im no lawyer so thats just guesswork.

In UK copyright arises automatically irrespective of whether one has a notice or not.
Yes, that\'s absolutely right (certainly in US and UK law) and under the Berne convention fairly widely. Express permission is required to reproduce anything of this kind.

Copyright myths for the record:
If it doesn\'t have a copyright notice, it\'s not copyrighted.
If you don\'t defend your copyright you lose it.

Does anyone have a listing of the file names that he\'s compiled the articles in? One of my articles was in there, but I\'m trying to find the particular \"Chapter.\"
