@minimaker : I think Casus Belli is still arround but I haven\'t read it in quite some time. A thread could be good for the WIP, but we are going to try to centralize news on Tracy\'s site so that people don\'t have to through all of the pages to figure out what it\'s all about ;) : http://paintaid.moonfruit.com/.

Yeah, we will need a WIP thread, which I guess is best to be started when we send some of the minis out. I was also thinkig of starting an article where I can post everyones WIP shots without them getting lost in threads and replies ;)

Is it necessary? Tammy\'s already going to be putting together an article for Harbinger.
But on second thoughts, Why not!

Well Im glad that all of the problems have been sorted out.

Tammy, I will be sneding you the info about me soon, if you still need it.

I have just started painting an Ogre- as a practise. Tried out a \'real flesh\' one- ie more human than the others- similar to those at my local GW.

I also tried out some scars etc. They worked out well, so it is something I can incorporate (as long as I dont get any Gnoblars...).

Dont worry Mike, I am keeping in constant contact with Mis Haye, so hopefully there wont be any duplication of effort ;) (I am too lazy for that!)

Ogre flesh

Nice one Ctan! Just as a quick note though, we are going for the GW style ogre flesh which is Graveyard Earth with a little Shadow Grey, highlighted with kommando Khaki ;)

Its quite important we gett he flesh tones in the same hue, even if the actual proportions are different.

(please send tammy the info, as she will be using it to send out models if need be)

Thanks mate!

Sorry.

Yeah, it\'s just that I do not have those colours atm. I was just practising the style of painting etc- new techniques and the like.

But when I do get those colours, I\'ll try those too lol

;) No problem, just stressing the point in case anyone wasnt sure :D

:bouncy:

Actually, it might be interesting to do any scars in a more traditional flesh tone so that they are pinky in comparison... I seem to remember seeing pictures of an injured crocodile and the scar tissue was almost the same as my skin colour!

im going to buy some ogres this evening and starting painting them and post it
i guess it would do good as a guide so you can tell me what you had in mind since not even the best reference guide beats an actual mini :)

Good mornin\' people,

First, Reverend, no ill will, as I stated. You\'ll find that I speak my mind as well - we\'ll knock heads someday but such is life.

As for the press release, yes, I was approached about that last night and I\'ve been thinking on it and will try drafting up something suitable. I was hoping to know a bit more about GW possible involvement before really diving into it, but I\'m sure I can manage something, hopefully it will meet with approval but we\'ll have a few of you proof it and help with the editing on it.

As for the painting and all the rest - colors have more or less been picked out, bases I believe are being worked on (damn, no corking for me this time around) and it seems the only thing we are all lacking in right now is the general miniatures and doleing out of who does what as well as a general timeline.

Now, if GW gets on board, all the better and I\'m sure we\'ll find a way to get the miniatures (mail, pick them up .. dunno). If they don\'t though, we\'re going to need to dig into the pockets and head for the stores with miniatures in mind or order them outright. Supervike and Dragonsreach have offered up their hard earned money (very charitable of you gents) and TAB Studios has offered to get them at cost through her retail buisness which should help some with the cost.

That being said, and I\'m sure it is being worked on behind the scenes, but what size army are we talking about now and the break down more or less of who gets assigned what and how many of this or that? I figure we more or less have the number of people that are going to be on board for this, with perhaps an addition or three but I don\'t think that\'s going to make a world of differnce with what we\'re planning on for the moment.

Now, I realize that some of this may not be up for being answered at the moment as we\'re still unsure of GW\'s involvement, so feel free to tell me to put the air brakes on.

Also, I know a timeline of three to four weeks was put together. Do we have some dates in mind at the moment? Something along the lines of, everyone pick up their miniatures or order them (give a grace period of a week or so I would guess), then two or three solid weeks of painting, everything has to be done by XX date and has to be shipped by XX date.

Also, have we decided who we are shipping this army to directly at the moment? Whomever receives it is going to have a large responsibility of getting the army organized, pictured, packed up proper and of course placed on ebay.

I\'m certain that much of this has been discussed, I figured some of us \'peons\' might want to know.

:D

I can say something about army size, as this is going to be really limited by the miniatures available.

We decided that the best/cheapest thing to do would be to buy the army box and the batallion box and split them up. This way we get the special edition leader bloke, and also stuff that isnt going to come out for quite a while. There is also enough stuff to share round between everyone who is participating.

There is also the opportunity to add to it as we go along if someone wants to do a giant or something.

Tammy is sirting out who gets what when we know exactly who is involved and what we are able to get.

Hope that goes some way to helping...

I think I am fixed, here\'s keeping my fingers crossed anyway. After doing a system recovery and adding in some new software things seem to be getting back to normal.

TAB you are welcome to use my real name against my Cmon user name. Also can somebody please let me know what I am to paint.

I am wading through the posts but are we/can we use cork foe basing?

Well that site is looking very good at the moment.

No-one has been assigned anything specific yet, although, it is thought that the more well known painters- ie the ones who have got the Demons and Swords- will paint the characters...

If I can figure out how to make my avatar apere you can use mine to. I don,t have awebsite up yet so feel free to use my CMON gallery. I also sent a email to alliance games distributing so hopfully if GW does not come throu they mite pick up the ball.

Hi guys.

Well, this morning I have finally managed to reconfigure my PC and I´ve been able to return here and I´ve seen this topic.

I just wanna say that I think this is a great idea, the best thing people can give to others is his time, dedication and effort and that´s what you´re doing.

Thanks guys...
