Ok so allan is a bit busy at the moment so he probably won\'t be joining us.
Cyril said he might find the time to help so that\'s a possibility to count him in Nothing finnal though.
And I\'m still waiting to here from the rest.
As for the banner wasn\'t ctan suport group already planning to do one ? Not that I don\'t like yours FF but if we start doing/saying everything in double this might start to get a bit confusing.

Well my friend has still not contacted me yet- I have a feeling that that is not his proper e-mail address- just one that he uses to sign up on sites.
If thatis the case, then I cannot get into contact with him...

Just one question. Are we going to limit this banner (if it is used) to just the people who are participating, or can everyone use it?
The reason I am asking is that if more people have it, then the word spreads around quicker, but on the other hand it does not show who is participating. The latter, in my mind, is slightly unfair if it decided to go down that route, as some people, like Ritual, who cannot join in with the painting, but wants to in spirit cannot use it...
In addition, do we need any additional information along with the banner, like a small decription of what is going on? Or will that suffice to get the attentions of people?

Everyone is more than welcome to use it if you wish, I was just twiddling around and was bored more or less and thus this came about. If someone has something better, or a suggestion, no worries from me.
In the mean time, feel free to use it directly from the photobucket where it is hosted (do a right click and \'view image\' and it\'ll bring up the URL on it). If ya\'ll want it on webpages, well, all the better I suppose.
As for the banner, it can be tweaked easily enough, something like supporter, or painting member or something else can be added to it easily enough.
Anyhow, have fun. I\'m off to bed. I\'ll see what develops come the morn.

I went to my mail box before I went to bed.
I must admit I am weeping a bit.

nope, not yet, but give the guys a break, they\'ve only been in the office for 3 hours...i expect to hear from them later today. I know Sawyer\'s in australia at the moment, so he\'ll be delayed replying, and Drew won\'t get back to me \'till they\'re in the office, and that\'s tonight at the earliest.
I need the list off all people who want to participate. I\'ve just heard from Jakob Nielsen and Kaple who want to join(they might have posted it too, i didn\'t look), which is great, so, Becca, if you could get me that list you have, I can input that.
I also need from each and every one of you: Your CMON name, your real name and adress, what you would prefer to paint and the amount of time you think you will be able to spend on this in the next 4 weeks. I will handle your personal info very discretely, and won;t make it public anywhere, if that\'s your worry. We\'ll need it to post minis off if we get sponsored by GW anyways, so.... email me at:

I really like Frustrated Father\'s banner, i just suggest a small addition (as CTANSupportGroup suggested too).
You can add some additional info on the banner something like the phrase used by TAB on The Edge Wizard site:
\"Painters in the world unite for paint aid project\"
or
\"Painters united to help the tsunami victims\"
Another thing, I think we can add the Painter\'s nationality with the avatar and name on the Paint Aid site to show that is a world-wide project

Cool, with Tab\'s, mine and pete\'s webspace donations we\'ll be able to sort out a pretty good project. i\'ll do a few write ups on the basic painting stuff for the ogres and gnoblars, and the bases etc, so everyone has a point to fall back on. This can be posted on all three sites, and will help the less confident along too, as well as create hits on the Paint Aid sites.
Now, i\'ll be personally getting in touch with a few other painters I know that do not frequent these forum pages as much, see if they are up for it.
Tab, i\'ll get in touch with you later today on msn to talk through the rets of the details.
now, I will also make a quick legal doc, for the boring job of making sure everybody understands they relinquish their rights on any of the proceeds of the auction, or the ownership of the minis when the project is finished. I know, boring me with my little square moustache again(jawhol herr Flick!), but neccesary in projects of this scale. you won;t have to sign it, it will just say that by participating, you give up the right to claim etc etc.
Another thing I want to stress: IF GW choose not to get involved, this means we will all have to cough up the money to buy the minis ourselves, if you are NOT WILLING to do this, please do not participate, because we cannot rely on GW untill they say \'aye, we\'re in\'. I know we\'re all really excited, but this can still cost us money ourselves.
