I don\'t want to hijack the thread but I would like to answer the questions that were asked.
They stole my idea for the drop pod. I sent in drawings to someone I knew at the company. They gave me thier opinion, then a week later I hear from FW. They wanted me to change my drawings to be more cartoon-like. I said I\'d work on it. A few months later they produced my design, crediting Warwick Kinrade with the design.
As far as lighting. I tried to go to the web site but it keeps redirecting me to the Korean site. (I\'m stationed in Korea for the next few months(USAF)) What I\'d really really love to see, or rather not see, in this model would be a magnetic reed switch. But good luck finding one... wait... here\'s one.

The really cool thing about magnetic reed switches is that it can be COMEPLETELY HIDDEN. You activate it by placing a magnet nearby. Since a lot of hobby enthusiasts have rare earth magnets laying around, it\'s the perfect opportunity to mount a tiny magnet in a movable part, in this case an arm would do. Hide the switch in a leg or armor plate. When the arm is moved near the switch it activates and the light illuminates.
These switches often activate with the magnet held to only one side of the switch. (One of the reed shaped contacts is meant to move.) As always, try it out first. Make sure you don\'t get a switch that is meant for micro voltages, or the switch will weld shut on the first go.
I guarantee that people will do this >:wow:
A word on LEDs. You know they come in different shapes right? You can get them in square, rectangular, and even cylindrical.
As far as color, I\'d recommend a nice amber glow coming from the instrument panel and the stark red from the top of the grot pit. The green is a fine idea for the eyes, but I still have a problem with the shape of the eyes and the size of the upper head.
