Would the Aurora marines dedicated transports be spearmint rhino's? At least it would be a perfect opportunity for some saucy freehand (that sounds so wrong!)

It's only a small thing but the eye on the orc looks excellent good work dude.

Thanks Oistene, really enjoy seeing your WIP thread as well. I know how you feel but it's sort of fun to find a thread with good stuff in it that has several pages to go through that's been missed for whatever reason. Too much good stuff is a good problem to have :)

Anyhow, WIP of marine I said I'd try. Just playing around with different shading colors. Was going to do it's right side with red/browns as shading and its left side shaded with blues just to see it on him. No real other reason or end result I'm planning on.

Then I got sidetracked on the McVey barbarian for a friend who has helped me out and wants it for an rpg game. It's such a nice mini though I'm going to take my time on it even if it's going to get broken 3 times the first time it's used in game. It's pretty fragile.

Daggers look good it's a good dark contrast against the blue pants you could highlight a bit more to make the tops stand a out but colors I feel are great.the face have you tried the warm warm cool
attachment.php
being he's under a helmet you could must go red and blue.what really is the key is a very extreme highlighting of the whole face even up to some parts a bit of white mixed in then it's several thinned glazes done on the face starting from the top and breaking it into thireds and letting each one dry before moving down to the next third.I pretty much use it on all my models faces you can see it on models in my gallery among others my blood angels librarian and on my newest work on my w I p fulgrim.take a look and you can see how it may turn out.brings alot of life into faces and I'm sure you'll be happy once you try it and use it as a mainstay on your models moving forward.

I really like the sword, I find that the shield at the back is ace, furry cape is also nice. I like the light grey-blue-green colour but I think you have use it in too many places being this the only "bad" thing I can point out to you. Hope this helps and obviously everything I commented id from my point of view of course ^^'

Painting here and there. This little project has grown into this. Anything you see I need to work on - let me know.

I think I'll try some small drops of gore from the alien limb and then a pigments for a dusty/dry look.
