I think this is the first time I link a "Space Marine" with its "obvious" alien surroundings. (Green prairies and red toothpick plants (old white dwarfs battleplans) don't make me link them to the space and extraterrestrial atmosphere)
If I had to vote for him in the gallery I would give him a nine or a ten ^^
Been looking through your WIP and you've come a long way. That marine is awesome! As others have already mentioned - the landscape you've created for him is very effective. I also like the weathering you've put into him - it gives the mini history so he doesn't look shiny and fresh.
Have been playing Imperial Assault with a group of non-painter friends. I offered to paint up our characters so a pretty quick job but it makes the game much more visually fun. Plus, we all know blasters and lightsabers are more accurate when wielded by painted Rebels.
The better news is, my buddy asked for me to put together a few paints and a brush or two for him to start basecoating the other figs for me to finish up and save me some time. Next think I knew he was watching youtube videos and asking questions about washes and glazes.
I will convert him to the dark side! Join me, and together we can rule the...sorry. I'm going to try to get him to paint with me
I've been away for a while and really missed some great stuff here. Hope I can check back in a little more frequently and stay inspired. Here's a dump of random stuff I've finished and some I haven't yet
Space marine is the most recent thing I've tried painting. Attempting to paint a little like Arkaitz Pérez Vallecillo's stuff but always fun to try someone else's techniques even if it doesn't turn out the same right?
