great work to all the winners, I can\'t wait for more photos to be released! Wish I could have been there, although, in fact I\'ve already started saving $$\'s for next year in the chance I can make it! :D

Allan C won a silver I think it was in Paris 2006.

I think most of the french only go to french and spanish games days...

yes and no ..... the french best painter are still painting ... but for them or other miniature than GW miniature . Remember that the best french are now profeesional and they did\'nt have a lot of time to paint for contest , and expectilly for the GD . A BBBBBBBIIIIGGGGGGGG other reason is that the golden demon rules have change for 2 year ...about .... If you are not \"fluff \" or in the GW \" background \" >>> no demon .......... So a lot of french don\'t participate because of that and because they wan\'t to create , paint or sculpt other thing than GW miniature . And maybe the level in france will decrease .... because we can\'t sculpt totaly a miniature (except in \"prestige category \" )

So I smile a lot when I heard on other forum \" the french are bad painter, we are the new best painter in the world \"
yes ... if you want .....
excuse me for my bad english ...... :D

I thought the dryads were really outstanding (much more interesting than the carnosaurs), thanks for the link to the modelling store :D

Don\'t know about you but I thought Alberto was a deserving winner of the Slayer Sword and I was pleased that he got such a huge response from the crowd. Incidentally, does anyone know how old he is?

Great stuff I can\'t wait to see pics of the models as the lighting on the day was shite and really hard to see the minis and truly appreciate them..

I think that the other gold was the duel wasn\'t it? An Empire pistolier dude hanging off a dockside and shooting at a beastman above him. It was really nice and dynamic. Had a great action movie feel to it.

romain.. i supose you are not talking about our forum..cause that is not what we think.. we know that you are the first country in fantasy miniature paiting.. it is and evicence.. avery very big medium-high level, a lot of painters with a high talent.. lots of new young artist every year.. more quantity of good people, and more masters than in other countries..easily 10 people who are in the top 20 in the world, in my opinion.

and we always claim for the same opinion. and all of us realize it.

in other side is that our country has increased it level a lot in the last 2 years...or maybe is my opinion.but the best country is yours wothout doubts.. teh evicene is the great amount of great painters,, and so young most of them..

Couldn\'t quite believe my luck at the weekend, at most I was hoping for a bronze, but I came away with two golds. I was really delighted

Matt

Congrats Matt but no real surprise to me - I\'ve long admired your stuff.
BTW were they the Brets you posted on a \'Discuss Submissions\' thread a month or so ago? If they are, then definitely no surprise.

Hi KingM - congrats on your success

You do know that I now look at models as I\'m painting them and think to myself \"now, would that beat Matts\'?\"

Next time gadget, next time...

Yep, that was the one. I was randomly inspired to make that after watching the second Pirates of the Carribean film. It was great fun to do, I often find that I do a better job on minis that I am enjoying painting

Cheers for the kudos everyone :)

Hi Romain! The rules about fluff have been a large part of the UK Golden Demon for many years - I think since something like 1998, and I think it is only just recently that the concept is spreading. Also, I think that there is no restriction about 100% sculpts over here, as long as it fits in with the GW imagery...

correct me if i\'m wrong...

I love seeing the stuff that the French artists produce, whether it is GW or not, I dont really care - I wanted to get over for the Monde de Jeur this year, but it wasnt possible... hopefully next year!

Take care

Well... something´s wrong, don´t you think...?... I mean, *normally* every single Demon brings up some hundred pics, this one is the biggest... and there are just these little pics...?...

Lucky me, I managed to repair my PC and Net...:)... I made some pics and... there you go... sorry you had to wait that long...

I will comment on the pics so you can understand what you are about to see even better... there are many, many of them, so thank you for your patience in advance...

First Pics, First Pic... Open Category... A very tough one... Adrian Bay´s aka vincenti´s Marine Chaplain... I have the fear that it didn´t placed, but I could be wrong...

dsc03830bl0.jpg

Some Busts... the First have been done by Orb... the Second one is from Ben Komets... even Hobbyists, who consider themselves as quite tough sooner or later say, that these eyes *seriously* creeps them out...:D...

dsc03836ln9.jpg

Jarr harr Dubeli Diii... A Pyrrhate with his Loot...

dsc03831rm7.jpg

Here you have the first ot the Studio Guy´s work I have spotted... Some Krieg Platoon Warhorses... Sweet... One of my favorites...

untitled1of4.jpg

Seb Perbet´s Orc... very interesting Choice Of Colors, subtile and different...

dsc03837dd9.jpg

Neil Green...?... Or Neil Hodgson...?... Eiei, no clue... but ver nice...:D... This thing has been seen before (German WD and Bretonian Army Book, I guess...)...

dsc03833ht9.jpg

Warhammer Fantasy Single Category ...

Okay, this one is something special... What a (positive...;)...) waste of Material, THAT´s how Critters have to look like... nice dark Choice Of Colors, well done...

dsc03841xo9.jpg

Fantasy Squats... both in a snowy setup... Snow Sceneries seemd to be very popular this year...;)...

dsc03839nk3.jpg

dsc03843px9.jpg

Halflings... impressive that these little Geezers bring their favorite pub to a battle...:D... bloody little wa*kers...^_^...

dsc03840qm7.jpg

Bretons, loads of it... took a trophy, dunno which one...

dsc03845rs8.jpg

Large Scale Model ... Gee... what a massacre...:D... judge by yourself...

Jakob Rune Nielsen brought a Judge Inquisitor... awesome, IMHO... this wig is a brilliant Idea, I am sure we will see more of this soon...:D...

Bronze, was it...?...

dsc03873cm7.jpg

And then came Nano...;)... He made Gold with this...

...

Really good stuff, I had the pleasure to see it a bit more directly the day after the GD in a scruffy Coach...:D...

That´s actually not NMM, but RMM... People got curious somehow...

dsc03874qr4.jpg

40k Single...

Both Minis won something... I guess the drummer did Gold... it´s from Luis Gomes Pradal, a pervert dude who likes \"Kartoffelporno\"...:p... he was in that Coach as well... was funny...:D...

... Don´t ask... What happend in the bus will stay in the bus...

dsc03872sj0.jpg

A picture from one of the many HD Plasma Screens on Games Day...

dsc03851yn0.jpg
[/url]

The second one is from Karaikal (Font Moreto...:)...), he took the sword in the Fantasy Single Category with the Orc... he is about 20 years, as I have heard and now he has two or three more Scars on his left hand more from the Slayer Sword... Looked ugly, hope you are fine, dude...:(...

dsc03871tb2.jpg

There is a very bad pic of his Slayer Winning Entry, I know there are better ones, but hej... this is the one I took...:D...

dsc03857ha1.jpg

Joe Hill once again continued his series... his style is very recognizable, this time he did this one... I love it...:D... Very good indeed...

dsc03855ee8.jpg

A Carnival Of Chaos Prinzipal...?... Or just a kind of Puppeteer trying to earn him his next big Latté Macciato at Starbucks... well sort of... Booze...;)...

Didn´t placed...

dsc03846pl7.jpg

An Emmissary... Wicked, such dense Mood in this work... Great job, Silver for that...

dsc03856ac8.jpg

So, that´s it...?... No, fear not... I have some more things... this one for example... an orc monster... Vehicle... Squiggy... whatever... Watch the Big Shootaz on the sides and the corpse...

dsc03858xs9.jpg

And... the three victorious Diorama thingys... Left Diorama was third, Diorama in the Middle placed Second and the right one got Gold...

It´s a cooperative work of Ben Komets and me... Better, more exact pics will follow soon...:)...

dsc03875qz6.jpg

\"The Witch Of Praag\" is the working Title...

We have won Bronze in the Warhammer 40k Vehicle Category as well, but we won´t post any pics of it yet, because there will be a complete tutorial in the next German White Dwarf... so please stay tuned for that...:)...

I have done all pics with a Sony Cyber Shot DSC 5 Cam...
