Bill, Dragonsreach, Swordwind and who ever else took a digi cam this is for you. Maybe you coudl send youtr pictures to one guy and make an article on CMOn with just photos and descriptions, that would be cool. But for now, I really want to see that group photo!

The Cmon Army made it to the finals.

Gold Silver and Bronze in the open were taken by GW Staff painters despite some better entries in my opinion.

DR mentioned about a master class category and having mentioned it to GW before, with it being a category simular to the open where anything goes except GW staff are not allowed to enter. I dare say that each time it is mentioned it will be ignored and the answer will be there is too many categories already...although I did hear it was tried somewhere this year.

We made first cut with it :D:D

All in all, it was a good day for me though some things did seam a little strange.... i feel that Vincenti was robbed!!
Not sure if i should be saying that but hey.

I got 2 that made the first cut which I\'m over the moon about.

@ Martyn: so you found your car then :)

Right I\'m off to get some sleep.

Yep right after I left you it was in the car park nearest the hotel opposite to where you were, where I left it.....could have sworn I parked closer, really must pay attention to where I part the caar at events like tis :D

Get one of those little aerial balls so you can see it among the other cars. Every car should have one of those!

Also a picture of the excellent Fire Warrior costume. Apart from a pic of some entries that didnt make it and some new Death Corps. stuff, everything is too blurred to make out.

hey folks :) Yep I managed to snug a bronze demon in lotr under my shirt, and then ran as fast as I could!

Well as Orb says.. usual gamesday, some awesome winners and some... very very strange descision. But on the other hand.. it kinds of brings a bit of mystic into what actually makes you win a demon! lol

I\'m not sure why telling the results would be spoiling any fun.. it really only brings some tension to it before the cmon people post the pictures. But if I\'d try to make a list my short time memory loss would be far too apparent! ;) KingM got some good news.. I can tell you that.

Now over the important part:

Great to meet you all, guys and gals! But I feel that games day is just too short of an event.. it was only at the hotel I could sit down and have nice relaxed conversations! The rest of the time I was just running about like a mad man trying to get glimpses of my fellow competitors and trying to track down the people I was supposed to meet... But all in all, a great event.. just far too short.

Sorry if I was being rude to anyone.. I hope not. And shame I didn\'t get to talk to everyone! Maybe next time TBS! :)

Well.. until next time. bye bye

Just wondering....did anyone get any shots of the Forgeworld WIP Nurgle demon? or the engine of the gods in the Staff contest area?

What would have hapened if the squad did win something? Would you all go up at once to share the award? That would have been a sight to see!

Congrats to everyone with their entrys!

Thanks,

Phew, that was a bit mental. I didn\'t exactly get to spend more than a minute saying hi to everyone, what with having to dash back to work on the GD stand again, but this did mean that I got to look at the entries as closely as I wanted all day long, which pretty much makes up for it! It will be interesting next year as a punter.

Plenty of shocks and surprises all over the place as always but it wouldn\'t be GD if that wasn\'t the case! Congrats to all of the winners and commiserations to a lot who came close.

Err, OK, so can I throw in any fascinating insight here?... nah, not really, there are too many lush models running through my head to think straight.

Err, I guess I agree that Adrian Bay deserved to place in the Open too, but that\'s the way it goes sometimes. The large scale final three were all awesome in different ways, and I think the quality means that this category will be there next year which is good.

I don\'t know if Mark Tait is a CMON member but I had a chat with and was gutted for him at the end, because his 40k and Warhammer singles (Pre-heresy Ahriman and puppet master dude) were both amongst my absolute favourites and only just missed out on placing. I hope they go to a GD elsewhere in Europe.

Congrats to the Spanish who won in pretty much every cattegory including single mini dominance. Very impressive but where were the French?

A rather late warning to Albert Moreto Fort - the Slayer sword is a real sword and shouldn\'t be gripped tightly around the blade. This will damage your precious painting fingers! He was excited though wasn’t he, which is great. It was nice to see someone really enjoying it and totally proud and overcome with emotion at winning the big prize.

Just thinking back, did I grab the Slayer winner out of a cabinet for someone from here at the end of the day to photograph? Avalorn perhaps? My brain had melted by this point but I somehow recognised the face.

Oh, and I blagged extra finalist badges and certificates so that everyone who did something on the squad can get one. Dragonsreach has them so pester him if you did a Vostroyan!

Seems like a lot of the French have stopped painting recently. I mean Allan Carrasco and Cedric haven\'t done anything new for a long time.

Nope...

Allan C won a silver I think it was in Paris 2006.

I think most of the french only go to french and spanish games days...

I entered for the first time and managed to sneek a third place in the Warhammer regiment section, with a group of Dryads.

I think I got a bit lucky, there were some cold one riders which IMHO were great.

I am absolutely over the moon, and had a great day. Nothing can bring me down today.

Will post an image when I can get hold of a camera.

Well done to all the winners, there were some great entries.

Congrats on the Dryads, they looked nice, I had a good look at the cold one Riders they were very nice and very well done just as Coldone Riders should be even the skin of the Dark Elf rRiders matched the skin of the Coldones in shades which fitted the way I have always thought of Dark Elfs but maybe that is where the GW Judges lost interest as it was very grey and not a lot of other colour whereas if you look at the GW stuff...

I really did like a lot of the entries that made finalist in the Fantasy Regiment Category this year including my own :D
