Taken a short break from the king's hand to start on bases, as I have a good amount of minis with nothing to stand on!
I'm sculpting them myself, rather than buying any. Starting off with a few basics and going from there. Here's my first.

The kings hand is looking great! Can't wait to see him all finished. The base is also looking very nice.
You might want to try asking over on PlanetFigure.com, I seem to recall there being a couple guys who made nice bases in the UK but, since I'm too far away, I don't remember who they are. Someone there should be able to point you in the right direction. I also know Andrea miniatures makes some decent wood display bases. You could probably order those through a UK miniature distributor. I've gotten a couple but, to be honest, they are just okay. If you can find a guy who makes his own display stands/bases you can usually get something much nicer for about the same price as the Andrea ones.

Well yes. I will do both eventually. But which first?
I need to decide now as I have finished the King's Hand. Pretty pleased although the NMM isn't great but for my first attempt it's ok. The flower knight will be getting the TMM treatment. I'm much more comfortable with that.
For Broga I think I might borrow Mike's red armour. Perhaps a bit deeper though. Hmm, too many choices. I have a stegadon to do too, plus my mentor legion to convert and paint.
Then there's the 90mm marine.......
Anyway, here's the King's Hand. Another finished model that needs a base. I'm going to try to make a few this weekend and base up the current batch I have waiting.

Totally agree. The flower knight has always appealed to me and is the only KD mini to do so.
