Thanks guys.
Boubi, are you on the infinity forums? There are some good resources for finding players.
Maenas, I agree about the weapons. I'm as yet undecided about how they'll be in the end. I'm toying with white ceramic but I'm not great a smooth whites. Maybe I'll do a test.
Ok, here's the family portrait.

Looks like they're not up in your gallery yet. Weird.

Awesome group shot, the guy furthest on the left is particularly good.

Link fixed. Thanks for letting me know!

cheers foxtail. He was one of my favourites to paint. That one and the orc in the middle.

Voted and commented on your blue team.
Seems that you are getting the grip of the infinity ones, looking forward this very next group.
On this last one though, I would say that you need to push the deepest shadows a little bit more to the darkness.. ;)

Thanks guys.
Maenas, I agree. I think I'll go back in and add some deeper shading but question is should I go warmer or cooler for the shadows?

mmmm I am not sure but maybe deep purple is a possible choice. (I mean the colour not the music band) LOL
Being it a cool warm it could be your answer..??
You can search the interwebs also for some reference images or wait for someone m9re experienced than me to help you out.to

Nice work! I would go for a dark de-saturated blue and int he deepest shadow I would go for black to contrast with the red.

"ok" is an understatement, the black looks great (as do all the other parts) the only thing I can see that could be improved is the blue circles in the chest, there's a bit of a step between te outer edge colours and the middle

Like the others have said, the black looks great, with just the right amount of highlights and you kept them more muted so the blacks didn't end up looking like greys. And to add what Sicks said about the blue circles, if you're going for an OSL look, possibly keep your paints thinner, like glaze consistency, and build up in layers. I'm no expert and have tried OSL only once in my life so far, haha, but that's how I understand it to work.

Thanks so much. I'm pleased with the way I got the greys looking. Smooth not chalky which is often my problem.
Next up something completely different. Well still infinity but a yu jing zanshi. I'm going for something close to the studio scheme. Partly as I like it but also to challenge myself. So far I've only worked on the bright armour. Airbrushed base coat and first highlights, then brush for the rest, including the red/brown glazing in the shadows. I think it's looking ok but won't really know until I undercoat everything black again.
