Been listening to Loveless by My Bloody Valentine recently... feck! that was an amazing album for it\'s time... still sounds damned impressive now :D

Apart from that, I\'ve been listening to people who can really play the acoustic guitar! - Bert Jansch, Davy Graham, Martin Simpson, Martin Carthy, Nick Drake etc...

Arctic Monkeys
Franz Ferdinand
The Strokes
The White Stripes
The Libertines
The Raconteurs
Dirty Pretty Things
Blur
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
And other stuff. Isn\'t it funny that when someone asks you about something like that, you just completely forget an example.

wow thats mine almost exactly apart from the libertines.i also like a bit of afi and the automatic.

i mainly listen to the radio when im painting
Cool you should try out The Libertines. Do you like Dirty Pretty Things. It\'s almost all the same people. I suppose I\'m a bit of an indie guy really. I don\'t usually listen to the radio.

That\'s a classic! That one and Slowdive\'s \"Just for a day\" are my favourite albums from that time.

I\'m really loving listening to Tom Waits, Emiliana Torrini, Amos Lee, Bill Frasill, Nick Drake etc etc at the moment.

I go through different listening phases every month or so.. There\'s just too much good music out there to listen to! I love that feeling when you discover new great music by someone that\'s been around since before you were born. My point is that there\'s so much music out there yet to be discovered both old and new. Exciting stuff hey!

Static-X, Spineshank, Fear Factory, Assemblage 23, Oakenfold for driving once n a while. who knows what else.

I figure I\'ll pipe up because I don\'t want J2FcM to feel lonely when speaking for the industrial/EBM fans! ;) A couple months ago I saw NIN for the third time in a year and a half (though probably only that many because I only had to pay for a ticket once) and when I see VNV Nation play on Oct. 13th, it\'ll be the 4th time in two years (again, the first three were probably enough for me but my girlfriend has yet to see them, so we\'re going). A23 sidenote: Tom and his wife just celebrated their first anniversary; while I haven\'t had the privelege of meeting time (missed my chance when they toured last year), a friend of mine is close with them and was the one who performed their wedding ceremony. And any list of bands from this genre has to include Stromkern and should include Imperative Reaction (not just saying that \'cuz they\'re friends of mine ;) they\'re currently touring with Covenant and Rotorsand).

DJ Accucrack toured a couple months ago with Frontline Assembly and Stromkern and put on a hell of a show.

Other favorites beyond those genres start closer, with Depeche Mode and Duran Duran on one direction and bands like Tool and Korn in another; Clutch is never far from the top of the list, but then the list keeps spreading farther out to the alt-pop (Eve6, Third Eye Blind); punk (Social D, Dropkick Murphys); and keeps expanding from there: Clutch is next to Harry Connick, Jr. in my collection, and Marilyn Manson is next to Sarah McLachlan. And I haven\'t even come to the Sneaker Pimps or the Pizzacato Five, or The Used or Eminem or even old hair rock like Badlands...

I\'ll just stop now. :)
