i highly suggest them.
I remember a fond painting session with a friend while Die Hard played in the background. The dialog is so cheesy and so memorable that we could chant along the lines without breaking our painting stride.

Usually I listen to books on tape while painting. Just finished one about the life of Abigail Adams

books on tape is an excellent idea!!!

you\'ve inspired me, vince.

and Dune is the same way, you watch it a dozen or so times, and the family will chant the lines right along with them....

expecially the \"fear is the mindkiller\" part.

:D

I prefer my music. I doubt Soca is good for painting, but I like it any way. Vincegamer, you probably like the most similar stuff to me.

well, that\'s probably true for most anyone since I like just about anything but speed metal.

I had to look up soca. Not familiar with it but it sounds good from the description.
Unless you meant Serious and Organised Crime Agency or NASA\'s Special Operations Control Area....

Seriously, is there a station on the internet I can listen to? I usually have Batanga playing in the background when I\'m on the computer (http://www.batanga.com/sp/fun/Reebok2006/default.asp)

I thought it was a dangerous gang operating in North Birmingham :duh: I\'d agree Tahn, probably not good for mini painting :D

Not really a popular option in these forums it seems, but I grew up on various forms of rock, and have gotten rather tired of the genre. So while I still have all that around, I hardly ever put it on.

I can\'t be the only one?!

Yer not the only one Eric. While I don\'t listen to any R&B either, I don\'t listen to a lot of conventional rap. My rap collection is limited to Psychopathic: Insane Clown Posse, Dark Lotus, Twiztid, Boondox, etc.
Rob/White Zombie, Tool, Korn, Rage Against the Machine, Prodigy and some old school Metallica make plenty of appearances, too. Most of my playlist is a mix of songs from Psychopathic Records, mostly when I\'m painting. Otherwise, I just let my entire collection play on random.

Soca? Comes form Trinidad. Mix of ragga and other genres. Known for their music carnivals.

Soca isn\'t what I listen to most, but I like it. I listen to Reggae and Dancehall mainly (What I listened too mainly painting my GD entry).

(SO)ul and (CA)lypso according to wikipedia.

How\'s this station? any good?

Reggae and Reggaeton are not exactly the same. In fact few people would probably make any connection betwen soca and reggaeton, but I can hear it.

My band of the moment:

Cansei De Ser Sexy.

Splendid.

Dead Disco are rather fine (in more ways than one...) also.

The missus wanted to see The Killers, so I\'ve just booked some flights to Paris for a gig in November :D
