Nice advancements! Looking forward for more...
I specially like the "pale blue bulbs" addition on the top of it.

Great work. It can be tricky making red stay red when you start highlight but you've completely nailed it.
Looking forward to seeing this done.

Cheers everyone! All your comments really do mean a lot.

I'll have some more progress on Belly tomorrow night, with a few more bits glued on.

coming along nicely Foxy...really tempted with this mini myself although I think I would struggle not to cake all that metalwork in lovely grease and rust.

Agree with Pariah on the reds....always tricky to get the balance right on those but yours are looking lush and vibrant.

Resisting the urge to coat everything in grime! The brass/gold areas may get a touch of verdigris.

For some reason, it's not letting me upload any pictures at the moment. The torso is attached to the lower body and everything's coming together well.

Well Belly is finished. The chap that commissioned him was pretty keen to start gaming with the model, so I went a little quicker than I would have perhaps liked. But if I had my way I'd still be trying to blend one little claw in 6 months.

I'm disappointed with the base, turns out terracotta dirt is a hard colour to highlight. I've realised since mailing him off that I have a large pot of almost completely unused rust-red pigment that I should have applied, never mind.

View attachment 55369The head has a lot of detail that gets largely obscured by his hood. so I thought I'd get a picture without it on. Side-note, trying to force an already tight piece of plastic over this guy's weird shaped head without scratching any paint off is a nightmare.

Best view of the face you can get now.

I'm going to tidy up the photos and get them up on the gallery sometime soon.

Next ... many many many Space Wolves

It's a cracker Fox, such a lot to take in on a mini like this and you have definitely done it justice. Those blue, green and hazard marked details really bring this to life.

Nice tonal range on those metals as well.

Would maybe have been tempted to throw a contrasting colour at the base to make the mini pop more but that's just a personal preference.

level up material I think. Nice work!

Yup I agree with @Hairster, I like everything you made on the model (even the hidden details of the head/face) but not quite like the base.
Grey rocks look a bit strange amongst red soil, also being red the main colour of the miniature... it does not favour it much.Anyway I can see it belongs to an army and all of them would probably have this kind of basing, so once this individual gets into the group "my visual issues" with the base will diminish for sure.
Anyway you did a terrific job with all those details and the red cape is great!

Almost Perftec! Aw, crap.
Very well done. I have only painted one mechanicum piece and it nearly killed me with all that damn detail. Respect. As for the wolves i hope they aren't wearing fur pelts... Ya know cause PETA could become PITA for you :)
