*quick google*

Yep, you're right. Definitely some inspiration there.
I think the film was slightly before my time :)

Well I've accidentally stripped the face off of the Inquisitor. Wrong kind of paint stripper. To eBay!

More progress on the rest of her and hopefully some prep work on Cawl

Dettol. Which should have been fine I think. Maybe I just left her in too long.
I need to decide whether to buy a replacement head and hat for her or convert another head and sculpt on a bionic eye.

In the mean time, my mission for this weekend is to make some good progress on Cawl, now that someone's requested it as a commission. Struggling to decide between nmm and tmm. Any ideas would be appreciated.

isopropanol! another desinfector.
I tried all the normal cleaners and the aggresiv stuff and found Isopropanol the perfect balance of agressiv to paint and neutral to resin.

I'll certainly give it a go next time. To be honest I think she was just swimming around in there too long.
The bad news is that nowhere sells just her head at the moment, so I'm a little bit screwed for a while.

In slightly better news, I made a bit of progress on the wolves for the space wolf commission. Sorry about the massive iPhone photos.

Still got the highlights, details on the face and any mechanical parts to do.

Ok yeahou got all the time with bitchface.lol tell you the truth I wanted to do her as for acB I go with my strengths which is tmms but you got her first she's all yours. I am setting my sights on a sister of silence instead. I look super forward to seeing a fellow artist get his spotlight on this beautiful inquisitor -that's you buddy! Looking forward mate.

Btw in the future Vallejo makes a kick ass glaze medium for metallics it's called-metal medium. Helps keep the metal shine while the layering is good coverage and blends very nicely.

Oh Cheers BaM! I'm going to keep working on the rest of her while I try and source a head. If it comes to it I'll just buy the whole mini on eBay and commit the rest of the parts to the bitz box.

I've never tried their metal medium, but I work mostly in Vallejo so I'll have to give it a try. Their Metal Colour for airbrush (and if you wipe almost all of it off, brush) is absolutely outstanding though. I've never seen metallics looks quite so good, and the dark metallic on the Inquisitor is the gunmetal colour. I'll get some good photos of it before I weather it down on the baneblade.

It is great to see you tackling some big projects in 2017. The fur on the wolf looks great and I can't wait to see what you do with that Inquisitor! That is a seriously impressive model and it looks fun to paint!

The cloak's basically done for Belly Cawl. I'm not sure whether to give it one further orange or white highlight. Don't want it to come across the wrong colour, thanks to the joys of painting red.
There are so many small details on this model painted in their own distinctive way, it's either going to be great fun or a massive nightmare.

Cloak is looking great, Fox! Yeah, it's hard to decide if you want to take it just a step further in highlights for fear of going pink or orange and messing it up. Wish I could help you with that, but I honestly couldn't say if it would be a benefit or not. It looks good as is to me.

Great start on the that mental Skittarii dude. The figure looks insane and you have made a cracking start....looking forward to watching this develop.

Cheers guys! Went just a touch brighter on the cloak, going to leave it as is now, unless I feel differently before I finish.

Bottom half of Belly is almost finished. I need to touch up some of the legs and arms metallics, and paint a wire or two, but this is going to wait until near the end.
Getting his face and torso done next.
