Thanks Gorb. I’m still not sure what to do with them so I moved onto other things.

Been a while since I’ve used proper metallics rather than nmm. Not a huge fan.
I’m struggling to keep motivation with this guy too!

Every time you put his bird head on I laugh because of his underbite- that shite always gets me.especially humans and underbites. lol btw kickass paintjob though.

He's looking good Fox! fight through that mid mini lull and get him done....it'll be worth it. You can't see the full picture till you get him together properly

Looking great. It's coming ;)

Love the wooden handle on the pistol. The leather is much better but still looks a bit dull. Especially compared to the wooden handle. I'm not an expert but I think the highlights on the leather are a bit to broad and desaturated. Scale 75 Wood and Leather set ?`

Yeah you get the same gritty metal flake effect that I always get when I'm painting TMM -.- No clue how to get this smooth -> That's why I nearly exclusively paint NMM :D -> NMM = proper metal \o/ xD

Cyanide, the wood handle had a glaze of Vallejo skin tone ink, which gave it the rich tone. I’m trying to avoid saturated leather for him, but I’ll see how he feels when it’s all done.

Persevering with him. He’s got a lot of filler drying on him to fill the gaps now the rifle is on, but the underbite is on permenantly now so BaM can keep laughing!

This guy is shaping up really well! I like the weathering you've applied so far and I think the tones of the leather compliment the skin well too. It is easy to see that this is a labor of love. Keep chipping away at him and you'll be glad you did when you finish him up!

I’ve been known to do quite a bit on these forums.you may have caught me doing a sbs, giving great speeches to newcomers alike, winning acryatal brush ...or two.. or three...or four ...he’ll 5 but who’s counting not me that’s for sure lololol. Now ide like to solely speak to fox.. fox there has been many times I’ve talked about muse, inspiration etc. I’m gonna let some folks in on a secret . There are many projects that have come and gone that I’ve loved. The truth of this matter is there have been many I’ve grit my teeth through and saw them to completion. There are many times it’s redundant, boring even downright annoying and wanted nothing more than to go to another more current model. This brings me to my ideologies: it’s the projects we stick through that get us better . It’s when we operate on routine and pure skill takes over because the original love has diminished it’s this routine , repetitive muscle memory is what I firmly believe aids in the advancement of our skill set.
Finish up the kroot young friend -the muse will return the model will be finished and nothing will be more rewarding than popping him on a base and being able to look at him any day or night!!!

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the support from you all (especially you BaM!). I’m not giving up on this one, I’ve just been really struggling for time. Lots of work and Xmas functions means that tomorrow evening is the only chance to paint I have this week.

I’ve also read through everyone’s threads, and I will get round to commenting soon!

Yeah, I agree with SaintToad, the angry skin looks great. The skin in general looks very good, nice contrast. My attention is drawn to the right eye, like he's looking straight at me. Magic job!

PS I just noticed the wood grain on the pistolgrip on his belt, that looks sweet!

The silver canisters are VMA, the rifle and gold armbands are Vallejo Liquid Gold.

Gold seems fantastic, especially for some savage trinket. If you are not satisfied with the metal, I think the next level is chrome galvanization :)

Skin tones are fantastic, thou.
