The contemptor has been thoroughly kicking my ass of late. The mold is really rough and I’ve been getting very frustrated with it. Since it’s a ~£60 model, and should be quite cool when finished, it’s avoided being thrown at a wall but has been relegated to my ever expanding ‘to finish’ box.
Since I’m naive and have eyes bigger than my belly, I decided the best way to get over it was to buy a large plastic kit to chip away at.
Meet Dave:

Just the colours blocked in and a shade on him so far. There’s some light conversion work on the head, and the glaive has turned into a short sword. Dave’s base has had a bit of work as well.

Some of the cobblestones are plasticard, otherwise are greenstuff. My liquid greenstuff pot is pretty badly dried up, but if you mash a load up with some water and apply it thinly it leaves a very slightly textured surface, which works great for stone. The blank bits of the base will have dirt applied and the large round hole will be getting a drain grate as soon as I work out how to make one.
Horticulous has some minor changes, but nothing worth showing yet.
