He looks great Cap. I really like the texture you’ve got on the flat cap and the mood you’ve captured in his eyes. Top notch

White Rabbit

Thanks All. Much appreciated.

I also started up on Broken Toad's White Rabbit. Still working on the mask. I will be changing the pink to a more salmon colour, like a worn ballet shoe.

Ok - this isn’t what Easter is all about- this is the stuff of nightmares buddy!!! Good colors though- the bright tones kind of cancel out the unsettling look.... well ...ok they really don’t but great start.

Cheers Bam. I'm going for twisted with this. Ironically using the Disney cartoon White Rabbit colours as opposed to the Tim Burton version. More to come.

Gone, All Gone

While I'm at it, here will be my next bust, also from Mollie's Miniatures.

This is a farmer during the Dust Bowl in the 1930's. He is sculpted as a weary old man, tired and forlorn over the failure of his crops. His hat tilted back, a smoke in his hand, he scratches his temple while he comes to terms with this disaster.

Man, I LOVE how your work looks like. Last one, the goblin, is very awesome. I like how you have represented light reflections from the torch over his head. Well done.

thats a very freaky looking model. i like what you are doing with it though. the colours work well, nice balance with the spots of colour against the mostly neutral tones

White Rabbit

Added some more shading, texture, and highlights to the mask. Calling the mask done. Blocked in the jacket colour as well. This will be dirtied and distressed. I'm thinking of painting the lapels and inside of the collar blue for a bit of extra interest. Comments welcome and appreciated.

White Rabbit Complete.

I'm pretty impressed with myself. Knocked off a couple busts within a month or so. That's a new record for me.

Here's Broken Toad's White Rabbit.

Comments welcome.

It does indeed. You've basically painted it precisely how i'd see it oddly enough.

ED; Or the way you've painted it has actually invoked that... Ponder this I will.

Or OR you could not eviscerate your fine work with brutal macro shots XD You could spend 100 hrs smoothing something and macro will destroy all of it. Seamless as it is to the eye. Take it to windows file, right click, edit, reduce 50-75%
Then we might see what it *actually* looks like.... ( We all know it doesn't look like this in hand, in fact it will look 1000% better in hand)

I'm flattered how highly you think of my computer skills. Considering all of this has been done via phone, but I'll give it a try.

Thanks for the feedback. :)
