Salome (Female Nude) w/Head on Platter!
‘SALOME’ Another painted, 80 mm white metal (primed white) figure from Phoenix Phantasy-Famous Ladies Line. Salome, a raven-haired beauty with blue eyes, painted lips, cheeks, nails and eyes. Adorned with lots of gold: necklaces, bracelets (arm, wrists and ankles) and the gold which crowns her head has a single, drop pearl at the front. The head on the silver platter has been painted accordingly with extremely pale skin, brown hair and slightly opened eyes….residual blood pooled at the back of the slightly tilted platter. She stands on a slab/step of sculpted, ‘painted to resemble’, pink marble with variegated colors of pinks, yellows, blues, greens, reds, terra-cotta and turquoise using a layered, blended technique. All the gold and silver were painted using the NMM (non-metallic metal) technique. She has been sealed with multiple coats of matte finish for protection. As always, thank you for viewing.
