Fraech-Male Scupture

Faye’s Faeries Hand Sculpted By D. Faye Nail My sculptures are one-of-a-kind, lovingly designed from a mixture of polymer clays over wire armatures and of course, a little magic. No molds are ever used in their creation. They are made with special attention to details, such as fingernails/toenails, expressive eyes/faces, aesthetic colors, jewelry and whimsical nature. Some of my faeries will include hand-sculpted bases, mounted on stained, polyurethane coated display bases. Their wings are formed from gossamer material over wire, then glazed with a translucent shimmer. The wings are flexible and detachable for ease of shipping, with a style, shape and color to compliment each individual fairy. You may choose to permanently attach the wings with a drop of super-glue, as this will not affect your ability to pose the wings to your liking. Hair is of high quality mohair and/or, synthetic and will come in varying shades/hues and styles. It is applied, lock by lock, sometimes hand-curled, or long and flowing. Sculptures and bases are sealed with matte finish for protection. All faeries are numbered, dated, signed by the artist and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. ‘Lost Love’ This auction is for fairy sculpture No.105 entitled, ‘Lost Love’ *Fraech* pronounced Frek and his name means: handsome son of a fairy-woman. I’m very pleased with the results….especially his sad expression (searching for his lost love), his clear-blue eyes and muscular definition. Fraech is 6” tall (7” including the base and 10” to the top of the spear). He has a wing span of approximately 8”, translucent/blue veined with an iridescent sparkle….they can be gently posed and are removable for shipping. He has dark brown mohair which is braided at both ears and one braid that hangs at the back of his head. For stability he is mounted on a 3” x 5” decorative, felt-lined bottom, finished wood base with sculpted/painted rocks, earth tone mix, ground debris and static grass. The figure is not permanently attached to the base for shipping purposes, but he is held in place by his spear, which is discreetly anchored into a hole hidden behind a rock. Please understand that my faeries are created to be displayed in their natural form, as faeries do not share our mortal trait of shame and/or, inhibition. The loin cloth will be included for a more modest display and for those of you who would like private, au natural photos, simply email me at: kaleidoscope74@excite.com, or send me a ‘question for seller’ and don’t forget to add your personal, email address. You must be 18 years or older, as I will not respond otherwise. Thank you for viewing and good luck!
