Bamboo looks great and is original. Paint looks a bit chunky in areas and NMM highlights just make the katana look dirty something I suspect a samurai would never allow. Nice choice of colors on the armor.
Sword is NMM. The bamboo is dried bamboo/rattan/whatever they call it from craft store. Mabe two small holes in the base and glued pins in them. I greenstuffed the other side where they poke through. The bamboo was painted and slipped over the pins. I did not glue them, as I wanted to be able to remove them during transport. Slidedog is right, a little grass next time, would disguise the joint. I did wonder a little about the lips, guess I came to the wrong conclusion! Thanks for the comments all.
I love samurai figures. the lips are too dark though. Tone it down a little bit. He looks like a mobster. Don't know if that makes any sense. Good job.
