Jonas Kane, Undead Hunter

This was a test piece for some new techniques I wanted to try. Namely, the Marble effect on his staff, the stippling on the back of his cloak and the freehand scrolls on the lining of the cloak. I also gave a shot at some NMM. In my choice of colours, I deliberately avoided heavy use of black, deep red and purple, as these are colours that we see on undead. After all, Jonas is an undead hunter! I was especially pleased with the base, sculpted out of clay and coated either side of the brick with super glue to get a thick, shiny swamp effect. Please leave comments, they really are appreciated.

IMHO this mini is being grossly underrated. It's certainly at least table top quality at bare minimum. You've tried some advanced techniques (with varying degrees of success). I particularly like the blue lining of the cloak and the swampy base. You're blends could be a little smoother, but the one thing that really sticks out at me... What's with the eyes? They've got kind of a "Clockwork Orange" feel to them. As I said, certainly better than the 4.x it's currently scored. I'll give you a 6.5
