Sir Justin, The Green Knight Reaper #02446

I really love the Reaper knights by Werner Klocke. They have a lot of details and really cool looking great helms. I am learning to do black lining and some shading on my minis. I think I am bringing out more details and reducing the bleeding effect between my colors. I am still learning but I think I am improving. Helpful comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Thank you very much for your helpful comments and encouraging words. I think I am getting better at painting and I know I can improve. I am going to try a different way to blend colors on clothes and work on my highlighting and shading more. I agree that the green metalic paint failed on the dragon. I am moving away from using the metalic paints. Thanks again.

Wow! That's definately green. ;) The green on the back of his robe looks a little grainy--maybe pixely-so it might be an effect of the scanner. I like the green lines on his helm and the edging of gold on his robe. I also think, for some crazy reason, that the red, light green, and yellow make a nice mix of colors on the back photo. I think the tymmy of the dragon look nice. You've also done a fantastic job with the black lining. I don't like the metallic part of the dragon--maybe it's an effect of whatever you're taking pictures with, but all of the detail except for the tummy and black strips on the back is totally lost. He looks like a shiny green blob =( Maybe a black magic wash would help tone him down. I also think that the shaft of his spear is very boring and should have some texture. ;) Lastly, the transition of color from green to blackish-green on the back of the robe and front of his chest is a little too stark of a contrast. You need a middle color. Overall he's really quite good and shows much improvement!
