Fianna Totem Bearer, NMM
Another painted miniature from Rackham's Confrontation line. Fianna has been painted with vibrant red hair, clad in cream-colored light armor with brown leather, filigree trim. Accents of astral blue and the loin cloth is embellished with a swirl pattern. The gold trimmed belt is adorned with 24 precious rubies and a second waistbelt of solid gold. Her two-handed sword has been painted, as are all metals, using the Non-Metallic Metal technique. The tribal totem is the stylized representaion of the Matrae, the three protective divinities of the Sessairs, under their respective attribites. Th child bearing belly symbolizes Siobhan, goddess of life and nature. The horns are the mark of the beast associated to Fiann, the goddess of war. And finally the mask is a mortuary emblem evoking the presence on the battlefield of Neraidh.. the one who walks among the shadows. She stands on a 30mm, Dark Age base covered with and earthtone mix, painted rocks and static grass. For additional, enlarged pictures, simply click on Ebay site and Thanks for viewing!
