Princess Cliodna w/bearers

PRINCESS CLIODNA.....From I-Kore's Celtos Line. A 25mm trio of figures, expertly painted. Princess Cliodna: a vibrant red-headed beauty, clad in primarily in gold and adorned with 15 precious gems. She stands atop a shield painted in shades of purple metal with 2 hand-painted Celtic knots in blues. Her two bearers: both with long,blonde braids, wearing armor in the same shades as the shield. All three ladies have teal colored boots with light brown fur.(Great accent colors for the purple and gold).All metals of gold and steel have been painted using the Non-Metallic Metal(NMM)technique. Based on a 40mm base, with sculpted/painted rocks, leaf litter, medium green mix and static grass.

When I first saw this miniature I was drooling. It is awesome. You paint job does it justice. The gold NMM is really good. I also like the heroine's red hair. Great work.

I agree, the eyes are wacky and disturbing. You should try adding a dark rim around the whites, and making sure the pupil touches the top or bottom edge (depending on the expression desired). Also, the skin looks a bit flat and washed out. I wish I could tell you what to do to fix it, but I can't do it myself. Cyril has great skin, maybe he'll tell us. Also, you need to darkline to help pop out the details, like the hands on her thigh and where her boot and legs meet It's an 8 if not for the skin and eyes.

Excellent NMM, especially on the sword. I think a little lining would be good. Maybe just a thinned brown wash to help give a little more definition? Thanks for refering to my site. Much apprecaited :)
