Well... ticket now ordered and paid for!

I\'ll be there to compete in my first GD, and to see how the event has changed since the last GD I attended... 16 years ago!!! :-(

Jeez I feel old.


So... should I just keep checking back here to see about the CMON meet up?

Hey.... here\'s a random thought...

being something I\'ve had to do for work before... does anyone think it\'d be an amuisng and useful thing to design a bunch of CMON badges for everyone with their login name and real name on... so we can instantly recognise fellow inmates?

I\'d happily do the design and mailmerge work for everyone then mail back the badges as a PDF so everyone can print out their own or something...


Sorry if that\'s a lame idea... just thinking aloud here...

That was brought up before but it was about 2 years ago. I liked the idea! Perhaps the CMoN logo and the username and real name under it and all small enough to fit into those security badge holders?

IMPO badges look tacky.
Plus I have to wear an ID tag for work so I\'m certainly not wearing one during my free time.

I\'ve stuck some pictures of my base up in the WIP thread. Let me know if it is OK.

I\'m working on the Golden Demon stand this year so that\'s where you will be able to find me. I get to check out the minis without suffering the crush! Tra la laaaa! I\'m so happy! :D

I\'m guessing that I\'ll see most of you around there. I don\'t imagine I will get a break other than to down some food (last year was the mighty feast of a jacket potato with a measly bit of topping so that probably won\'t take too long either!) so someone can just grab my model off me there when it\'s done, or I may be able to stick them in a cabinet instead perhaps.

If people think it\'s a good plan we could get a little advert done to stand next to the minis, saying to look out for them on ebay and really pimp them hardcore to the 8,000 or so attendees. If that sounds like a plan I\'ll check around with people in charge and see if it\'s OK.

I\'ve already had a request from the Area Retiail manager for GW to display it in our local shop while it\'s on Ebay.

I\'ll be knocking up an explanation so one for Gamesday might be easy as well.

By the way, could people please stick to thread subjects. IMHO this one is more for the GD gathering. There are 2 other threads on the Vostroyans. If people keep crossing the topics, there is going to be a lot of redundant information.

GS:

Right now, Castor of Kislev is my YB entry (still touching up to do), but I say that with every mini I paint lol He\'s certainly my best so far. I have that Cathayan Dragon kicking about, Might get that painted up nd enter him for monster. Or maybe my blue ogre... anyway, I\'ll bring a few of my models to show but not necessarily enter. I might have an enormous inspirational moment and come up with something awesome, but that doesn\'t look likely. I\'ve run dry right now, and I can\'t be bothered to paint. :no:

i think castor is by far the best.Id enter if i were you you have a great talent(better then me) dont wase it im kicking myself that i missed YB last year so take your chance
