Work has approved my time off :bouncy::bouncy: the ship is off to do weapons training and a few days defense sales in Hamburg and I will be staying home and painting in a panic to paint and convert everything in time :)

Been to Hamburg before so not worried about missing that...I was mmore concerned about missing the GD :)

Now all I need is GW to put their life in one sock and send me my mini and ticket that I oredered 3 weeks ago :)

Cheers Mike, check the freak bar thread you\'ll like the one I put in there earlier :D

As for GW when I spoke to them 2 weeks ago they said the figure was out of stock and that orders would be shipped out along with tickets from the 17th they can standby if it is not here by next weekend :D

OK people - I know it\'s been a looooong time since I\'ve been on here, but I\'ve thought about all of ya\'ll! :D

Specifically, I\'ve thought about UK Games Day and waiting to work on \"The CMON Yearbook\" until after it\'s over. Soooo, I want you all to take lots of pictures and either post them or send them to me so I can include them.

See ya!

Ticket and model arrived today. :)

So have we finalised where we are all going to meet?

Is there beer available? If so I need to find out train times. :)

If the NEC sticks to GW\'s rules as per last year the event wil be dry!

Best place is the Hotel as short walk away, a tad pricy but nice to get away from the arena.

I\'m going again for the second time now. I went last year and it rocked! I\'m afraid I won\'t have my loyal companion (lol) with me this time. He isn\'t much into the hobby any more. Its an on and off thing with him. But I\'m cool about it.

Some friends I already know from communities will be going, and I\'ll be entering the Youngbloods competition because it will be the last year of my being able of doing so.

Last year I really did push my luck. I only had my entry basecoated until the late night before it began, so my main work was rushed, an really did put all the hard modelling work I did to shame. Not only that, but I entered the mainstream 40k single miniature catagory with him, losing out on the first cut.

This year, I started modelling my mini in time for the event, and with the 6 weeks holiday up ahead, I\'ll be sure to have enough time to make a cracking paint job, well, to the best of my abilities. :p

I cannot wait to go, and I\'ll look forward to seeing some minis in the Golden Demon stand that will make me think \'Hmm that looks strangely familiar...\' ;):p

Sorry Neil it was not a tad pricy it was bloody expensive.
Plus the service was poor as was the choice of food; £12.00 for a burger. N.I.M.L. :(
There was talk on this thread of meeting up outside, SJB gave the best location.

Last year we just brought some food that we picked up from the shops on the day before, didn\'t bother to buy the food from the NEC, although I have before.

In my opinion, you don\'t want to spend the best day of the year lol waiting inline for some food.
