Luna wolves paint scheme

guys, those weren\'t mine (sadly) i just googled \'heresy armour\' or something like that and that was what came up. for rivets, i have seen a few things used. pin heads is one option for that styling. also gs can be used - just make little balls and cut in half when it\'s hardened.

looks great so far. i\'d water the paint a little more though as it seems a little thick in places

thanks freak. know what u mean about the paints, have watered them down and looks like there ok when im paintin but the camera tells a different story, the old eyes must be goin lol

Not had chance to look for the blood splatter tut, been so busy these last few days, unbelievable.

If i had a minute the elves WiP\'s wuda been up. Got an easy week now though so its paint time.

Thanks for the info freak, gona look into the vision of heresy book for a little more on Pre-heresy armour.

lol no thats the way it works. you paint something up nice and lovely then take a photo and it looks like it\'s been painted by a handicapped chip with exterior wall paint!

heresy books area great source of inspiration for this sort of thing. i\'d reccomend getting a couple (although i had to buy the whole series!!)

got the visionof heresy book the other week and have been lookin through it and does seem fantastic for inspiration.

would any 1 know where to get super sculpey from as would like to make a mould for the leg guards like the scibor tutorial but cant seem to find any

Hey sorry on the delay of the reply, i have only primed the models and done the initial watered down black coats to smooth the models.

I have been so busy its unbelievable, they will get started.

Any more work on those Luna wolves?

been busy at work too - found out we have the dreaded ofsted coming in next week as well, more preperation

have broke my own rule - started another project before finishin the first one. not painted anymore but have been desperate to do some modding so have took a chaos lord, got rid of all the chaos icons and am \"Abaddoning\" it, pre-heresy of course

have got the pipes on the breast plate though my GS skill isnt great but will post a piccie up in the next few days - dont hold ur breath for the results though!

I have finally started painting the wood elf lord, i will take pics as soon as i can. Started blending the cloaks greens but the pics will be up soon

sorry for the long wait, have been ridiculously busy and not even had time to paint - along with no computer due to its spectrum like power lol

Hey, its ok shame about the lacvk of computer power, any more work on the luna wolves?

The wood elf lord has been started, his flesh and cloak have both been started, bu i have had trouble with the camera so aiting for this to be sorted before i can post the WIP, i quite like the look of it but i havent had much time to get going properly, damn uni!!!!!!!!

no further work on the luna wolves front cos of all the work but things easin off a little now so hopin to get bacck on track.

also got the bug to \"return to my roots\" so gonna have a crack at the first ever army i did - thats right the smurfs are back lol, Ultramarines AHOY!

I really hope it lives up to the expectation, unfortunately i dropped him so i will have to repaint his hair (luckily it was just basecoated) i will have the WIP\'s up asap, its annoying as i have had little time to do any further work. But i should hopefully have more time.

Gona try and get the WIP up, so then you can see how its coming along, im reasonably impressed as its my \'return\' mini hehe, from that i have a few other \'practice\' mini\'s.

to be honest, havent done any conversion, as such on the ultramarine (though i have used on or 2 bits from the old bitz box to jazz it up)

to be honest after such a long break from painting want to practise before i go back to the luna wolves and WIP abaddon and as they have changed the ultramarine colour it will be nice to have a tabletop quality army to play a few games with (when the nipper gives me chance LOL)

as for the elf, dont worry, i\'ve found that im my biggest critic (though there are a few lol) and i bet the same is true for you!

That seems my problem as well at the moment not having the time to get a playable army, also the choice of what i want atm is annoying (space orks, dark angels, converted ultramarines as well as a fantasy army of some sort) money and time are the key factor there. BUT i am hoping summer from university will be kind (5months off, though 3 may be spent doing work experience) still leaves 2months, that would be great.

I hope to see the Luna wolves return soon, as they were coming along great. Think i may work on the elf today and get them pics up in a WIP, then after the elf i have a few other random figures to paint, 3 dwarves a few high elves a space ork and a graveguard LOL

sounds like u have plenty on the workbench lol
thats how im working now though, i seem to get bore very quickly on my wips cos there are such big gaps in-between sessions but im liking it that i have a choice of what to continue with, plus there will be plenty of wip pics up soon :bouncy:

Glad to hear the luna wolves will be back soon, im gona start mine soon but as i said i just have so many ideas floating around in my little head LOL

Also starting my GDUK entries soon as well, BUT i need to get these practice models done too so then the painting skills r a little sharper.

Have you any ideas if your entering?

I\'m unsure what 50k army i should get (orks,Ultramarines, pre heresy DA or pre heresy death guard)

have never entered GD (i guess a little overawed by the competition) but could be fun - not sure what to enter though, guess it would have to be luna wolves based???

also - what is 50K, i know i was offline a while but have i really missed 10K years lol?

haha, typo error there, i meant 40k lol.

I entered 6 years ago in the young bloods where i got to the last round no trophy though.

Haven\'t entered since, but i am this year with vengeance, if all goes well i should have entries for 40k squad and single mini, plus fantasy single, 40k vehicle, a diorama and maybe a duel.

Have a good few ideas ranging from wacky to simple but atm i cant tell them as the competition will read hehe.

Yea you should well enter something pre-heresy. Would be a welcome change.

I will give a hint to my entries though, possibly orks, IG, pre-heresy SM and maybe some chaos

Hey hows the ultrmarines going?any more work with your Luna wolves? my elf is nearly finished soon be ready to photograph, i scrapped the wip cos my camera is awful!!! Getting a few models u may like the sound of will have a mortarion and horus soon and ultramarine captain sicarius to add to my ultramarine squad im gona be working on soon
