I agree with you also Finn - what people do when they are over 18 is totally their business. But legislation to protect the ones under 18 is not a problem - although I understand that someone in England wants to legalize porn for 16 yr olds - unfortunately Georgia does not have a lock on possessing all the idiots in the world.

True, but as the age of consent is 16 years, it would seem a bit strange to let them bonk themselves to death and then subsequently prosecute them for looking at the video:D

Same in Georgia. :)

Course, I\'ve always wondered why the drinking age is 21, but military age is 18...if I\'m going to have a run through an enemy area and a huge potential of getting my ass shot off, it sure would be nice if I could have a beer afterwards.

I think the real objection to the bill in England was the fact that they were going to lower the age to appear in Pron to 16 - and I can see having an issue with that

That is slightly different....

But as most 16year olds of my acquaintance have had sexual partners into double figures it prolly wouldn\'t be the end of the world.

There is still a logical inconsistency with being legally entitled to do something, but not be depicted taking part in that activity. Almost like making it illegal to take pictures of 18 year olds in pubs.

I also despair with the mentality that thinks it is OK to die or be disembowelled in defence of your country but not be allowed to have a celebratory pint, or shag, should you have the good fortune to survive. Just how insane is that:duh:

I agree that there are some discrepencies in what one can or cannot do. However, where I have a problem with the concept of 16 yr olds in pron is when they would be teamed with older actors - sure most teens are experimenting with sex but within their own age group (14-18) is one thing, where as a 16 yr old and a 32 yr old is something completely different - regaurdless of the gender of the 16 yr old.

And I agree. However if I had been picked as a potential porn star at 16 and cast with a 32 year old I would have thought that all my birthdays had arrived at once. As long as they were female of course. :D

It\'s all subjective of course, at 16 I was more sexually experienced than my parents:flip:
