Aye, I've got one sitting in a box, waiting until i can scrape together the courage to paint it... looks great in red though. nice job!

I'm with Meph. I've got him half assembled, not even gap filled. It's such a monstrous undertaking. I have a lot of respect for those that actually put paint down.

Thanks guys, I agree it is a daunting task when you get him in your hands and even the largest brush you have is dwarfed by his claws! But I have even had to resort to 4/0 very fine details brush in some areas (which my camera is totally unable to pick up). I'm actually learning a great deal on blending techniques on Cang as I come from the old skool dry brush and wash till its nearly lost all of its features and it's all been done by following everyones WIP stuff on here, so credit really goes to my fantastic teachers - You guys.

So until later, thanks and keep watching :act-up:

Aww quit it you're making us blush. Now go take some decent pics so we can stop digging our toe in the dirt and go back to applauding this awesome paintjob!

OK no more blowing smoke up anyones asses! lol wish I could get better pictures but my camera which was ok just wont get the right colour balance or focus soooo maybe santa will bring me a nice new chiny one? (damn she's not looking over my shoulder at this, will have to resort to more heavy hinting to the girlfriend). That said have tried a plain background, no macro and no flash so the colours are more realistic but cant get close enough for detail. Let me know what you think.View attachment 16621View attachment 16622

Looking good so far! Unfortunately, like Trystan, mine is sitting in a box. I need to get time away from the Wife's Home-Improvement plan so I can get back to doing hobby stuff, but I don't see a break in the immediate future between my work schedule and her growing list of projects ([/sarcasm]Thank you to the friends/relatives that keep sending her improvement projects via email[/sarcasm] :curse: )

Well good news yay and bad news boo. First the good news - Cang is very very nearly finished and ready for joining the tower to be completely finished. Now for the bad news - I'm still having major issues with my camera and cannot bring myself to post the dross that is the pictures so far. I am working on getting a good camera but am also considering seeking professional pictures when he is completed so please keep tuned and I'll see what I can do :act-up:

Ok progress time, nearly there now, just a little more blending in of the rocks and brickwork where I had to do some substantial filling and remodeling on the gaps (might be the model but more likely is errors caused by my assembly)and his claws need painting. So when thats done I can have a rest or move on to my next project http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer/THE-EMPIRE/ELSPETH-VON-DRAKEN-ON-CARMINE-DRAGON.html and my elf prince, and my chaos lord on juggernaught (just needs basing but I have something particular in mind for that)

Will post link for voting when Cang is finished completely and if i can get a few good pictures out :)

Lety me know what you think so far.

Thanks Trystan, those wings were the bane of my life for nearly 2 weeks washing in red, purple, orange, bleached bone, ivory then back over with purple, smudging with fingers (on purpose and sometimes not).
Cang certainly is a large project this has taken over 18 months to finish I lost heart with it half way through and put down the brushes for 8 months while I changed career and tried to regain the motivation. But with so many nice new things coming out and discoverinng other manufacturers instead of just GW has really spurred me on and now it's a rush to clear the table for new projects.

Well he's finished now (without rider as I like to think of him as a wild untamed beast) the link is up http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics16/img509efa8a3a9fd.jpg and I have begun work on the forgeworld Carmine dragon which I have decided to paint as a forest/emerald dragon instead as I have seen enough reds and purples for a long long time. I will post some pics here soon but I got carried away with the face and went a bit too far for it to be a true WIP. More soon :)
