Just a small update with the blue tac:ed weapon for my current project!

Obviously far from finished, still needs to be attached to hands et.c, but at least shows the direction I'm heading in - Lotsa flames!

Looks interesting nanas....guess it is some kind or custom penitent engine monstrosity you are aiming for?

Looking forward to it taking shape...keep us up to speed on the cutting and carving!

Burn the heretic. Burn the penitent. Burn everything!

Going to be fantastic when this comes together. I'm looking forward to it.

Some quick updates! Due to a ton of re-posing, the nemesis has forced me to practice some pinning as well. Which is actually going pretty great so far! :D

The red lines in the first pic shows where I have put all the pins so far, but there's def more to come.

Also, the fact that these things are supposed to move is incredible now that I realised how limited their leg-movement is...

Okay, so those bloody turd-nuggets are charging $400 a year to link my pictures. Well, fuck that.
Any tips for other sites? Imageshack doesn't seem to work..

Just use an image resizer and upload straight to the forum

Do mine straight from my phone with an image resizer app.

Ok, here goes nothin'.

A quick tryout to see if resizing is enough, or I need to do more.

Red lines are rods inserted where I felt the need to pin the model for reason being reposing, structural weakness or just preventing breakage from weight.

So, a lot happened. More or less finished the first stages of the base, as well as further pinning the Nemesis with a pin through his second foot connecting to the base. The idea is to make it look as if the Nemesis is so heavy as to push through the ground. Also got the general weapon frame done and while at it I couldn't resist doing a mock pose of what it will look like in the end. Happy to say it stays balanced, more or less, with the driver attached. As it's metal that has been somewhat of a worry for me during the process.

And ye, the general idea. Holyshit is it encouraging to actually see this. It's heading in the absolutely right direction for me!

C&C is, as always, very welcome and appreciated!

Looking awesome so far. I like the idea of it cracking the earth up with each footstep, maybe some of the GW crackle agrellan earth when it's being painted.

Only thing I'd change is the candles on top of the exhausts. I'd try chopping the exhausts off and replacing them.

I do miss the old Witchhunters fire and flame and penance would GW went down for a while. I think it's a bit dark for the new cuddly and cute 40k.

Slow and steady wins the race, right?

Got to get some new things running. The most exiciting of which, for me, is that I finally found a colour scheme that I can do over and over without getting bored or mixing paints to an extent that makes it impossible to fully replicate.
the Death Guard from Dark Imperium posed the first squad I wanted to be completely coherent and I challenged myself to find an easy, yet suitably nurgle colour scheme. I ended up with this:

The armour is a base of Warpstone glow followed by a layer of Moot Green. This is then washed using Athonian Earthshade, and finally a second layer of Moot Green is added. It's simple and I like the effect I get from such a simple recipe. The second guy is currently undergoing painting.

I also did a few swaps of arms and heads using some poxwalkers, a skaven from the Plague furnace kit and some spare Skitarii-parts and ended up with two fairly distinct characters. The first is still missing and arm/hand and will need some more doodads, but I'm really please with the general direction. I'm currently filling in some gaps on the back using liquid GS, a tool I'm still getting used to.

The second guy is the poxwalker who was now arm-less. I simply used the arms from the skaven plague monk and managed to get a more... sentient and conscious spread of nurgles boons.

I like the idea of some individuals embracing the plague and working to spread it rather than fight it. Maybe he even was an acolyte of nurgle since before?

Thx, Coyote :D

So, a bit of updates! I'm back on the nemesis and have fastened the "driver"/pilot and started to cover up all the GS there with details, as well as re-pinned and finished the weapon and pinned and finish the arms as well.
Pins are marked in the pics as red lines.

Also did some more painting on the DI DG and have finished up another one. I do belive this one (the furthest to the right in the pic) to be my favourite as it show so many signs of Maximes design and hints to his own personal DG army.

C&C welcome as allways!
