If the Vortex weapon behiaves anything like it did in Titan Legions and Space Marine then it can be a real pain in the neck as the damn thing hangs around for ages and is completely random each turn as to which direction it travels in.

Ooh, Space Marine, I remember that. I still have the marines from the game plus the marine box set.

Well, if everything is gone by turn 4, games may get completed in the 3 hours. With some people at the club, 1500 pt games can be finished (full 6 turns, maybe a 7th), can be completed in less that 1.5 hours, including setup and putting away.

Ok, it says on the apocalypse site that new stuff would be there on the 27th. It isn\'t. I think they should send me a free baneblade due to the false advertising.

GW\'s business smarts continue to astound.

\'Hey! We seem to be struggling to sell our products. Lets stick a thousand Space Marines in a big box and sell it for a bazillion pounds. Little Jimmy and his £10 a week pocket money will love that!\'

Nice one dudes! Tom, or should I say Mr Kirby, will you just get a move on and die already so someone more capable can take over? Like a monkey who has had been fed a pint of pure ether and then had his head caved in with a blunt instrument. Or Hasbro perhaps.

Yes, in the year since I\'ve left GW\'s employment I\'ve come to realise that despite trying to convince myself to the contrary, the people in charge are completely and utterly f*cked in the brain box!

I\'m glad I\'m not the only one who can see this is almost desperation tactics..
mmmm how do we sell 12 tanks and only pay for packing and shipping them once....hmmmmmmm.....

some of the sets are ridiculous ..admittedly soe savesome money but they\'re sruggling to sell the £12 boxed sets and £110 army deals so who\'s gonna buy a £275 army box of marines...Oh well someone I suppose .......or are they???

Frig me! Which kid gets £10 pocket money! I was on £2 a week, IF I was lucky!

I was planning on doing a 1500 point \'Nidzilla army\' in the new year, so the 5 carnifexes for £100 is looking mightily tempting!

The 4 landraiders is also looking tasty, but I have to agree with the battle company, I reckon thats a no starter for them!

Jobsworth at my local GW store asked me if I wanted to reserve a box and I had to try so hard not to laugh!

Has anyone done the maths yet, how much of a saving do you actually make?

ive just worked it all out minus the behicle command frame whatever that is?
the total is £386 so that would save u £111 so not much in the way that the actual thing costs £275

I tried working it out again. Here\'s the breakdown:

SM commander £10
Command Squad £18
6 Full Tactical squads £108
2 10-man Assault Squads £60 (5 per normal box at £15 each)
2 10-man devastator squads £80 (as above but £20 per box)
1 razorback £20
8 rhinos £144
+ the vehicle command sprue £?

That\'s £440

EDIT: I\'m sure some people will buy it to sell the individual items on e-bay.

I got way less than £10 a week too, but it\'s been well over a decade since I got pocket money, so I hazarded a guess at what the little brats get these days! ;)

Course my dad was into the hobby too, and far too much of a big kid to not buy loads of toy soldiers, so I still did OK. He actually had a hidden stash of Orks because my mum got so upset with him constantly buying stuff. Some people find their dad\'s supply of Playboys, I found his guilty hobby secrets! lol

I suppose it\'s because they\'re not supposed to be fielded in huge numbers, well, the Grey Knights anyway. Also, all the other options for inquisition armies, like IG and SM are taken care of.
