Another beginner WIP thread...

I finished her cat and made a quick diorama-type base for her. I've had enough Eldar for a while, time to switch to some Nurgle goodness (or badness?) ;)

Just read through your whole WIP story and you are an inspiration sir :)
Your recent project is beautiful and the blending is simply stunning.
Looking forward to seeing your next project.

After a quick family trip for Easter I've started another project. It will be part of a wedding gift for my best friend who is a Witcher fan. I need to finish it in a month and given my slow painting it will be a challenge ;)
Before I started him I did a quick one evening Primaris just to relax and to learn how to apply decals, as I never did that before.

These look great! I love the diorama and am excited to see how the new ones work out- they look nice and clean so far!

Thanks! It's my first time painting something bigger than 28-32mm, so it's a nice change of pace. So far I love the bigger scale. I struggled a bit with painting face, this is the best I could do. It doesn't look perfect, but I've learned to move on and not to try fixing something that ain't that much broken ;)

Thanks! I've done some more work on the boots and kneepads, bottom half of the model is almost done, just the knife holster thing (dunno how it's called in english) left to do.

I believe the word you're looking for is "sheath" - but you'd use that for a knife only, for a sword it would be "scabbard".

Witcher model is looking great. The black leather and lacing on the boots is sharp.

Small aside, but I never thought to add a helmet to a marines belt. I think I'm going to steal that idea if I get a chance to paint some sergeants.

Well, I also did not think of that, it was purely Games Workshop idea :D

Ah, thanks! Now that you've pointed me in the right direction I remembered that I knew those words, just fell out of my brain at the moment ;)

Sooo, the deadline for Witcher mini is tomorrow, yesterday the mini was at the same state as the last update here (God of War took priority :D).
What do I do? I speedpaint it. Just inks over preshading and some minor highlights/shadows afterwards. The effect looks like this.

I've finally started to work on my Shadespire minis - it will be just a quick tabletop level paintjob.

Shadespire Stormcasts finished. Overall very fun models to paint, went rather quick (about 6h start to finish), pleased with the end result for the time spent. Khorne guys next!
