a TITANIC undertaking

To be honest, how much time can it really take to put on thousands and thousands of studs and create details to such an extent ;) :D

Depends on how much monkeys he can train I guess...

WOW... If there has ever been a mini that I\'ve felt sexually attracted to its this one! Amazing... As I read through this thread my girl repeatedly told me to close my mouth. :D

Now, from my point of view there are only two options, either I go lay down my tools and never look at a mini again(yeah, likely... :D) or I get that thumb stuck shoulder deep in my ass out and try to regain some degree of self esteem on the modeling table...

Stunning... Marry me? :D

WOW!!! I\'ve only just started going on the forums and I have to say this is by far the most impressive thing I\'ve seen. Yet I cant wait until your next post. till then keep up the extraordinary work.

Just a few quick notes.

firstly this is the most awesome scratchbuild i have seen in a long time, indeed it is IMHO the best SB I have seen.

secondly, for crew if you have mates who have ever built any IG Armoured Sentinals (i.e Steel Legion), you can use the bodies off these with head swaps and a little bit of sculpting of extra details with no trouble at all.

lastly I wanna see this painted and entered in GD someday! as it deserves the kudos!!!

Hello lads and lasses!

A two part apology, first. I\'m sorry to have been missing for two months, and sorry to dash the hopes of anyone who sees this update and is expecting more pics. I\'ve been quite busy with exams and stuff, and nailing down a summer internship, etc. etc., but I\'m back to the important stuff again! :D I drew up the turbo laser (preliminary) blueprint yesterday, and can\'t wait to get down to business. As always, thank you, everyone, for the support and input.

@Da Sub: Good call on the Sentinel crew. Much easier base figure to start from than a standing Guarsdsman. As for GD...it\'s occurred to me, I\'ll admit. Gotta up my painting game, though, as you can see from my gallery. Still, I bet this would be an exciting entry for my first-ever large competition.

Cheers, if you need some close up shots of the sentinel and titan crews (including disassembled crew compartment of the titan), drop me an email, as I now have a shiney new second-hand unassembled warhound. I caved when I saw the rediculously low price (250$ Aus). Still working up the designs for a scratch built Reaver between work and painting contracts so I don\'t know when it will get built :)

I may build an alternate torso based on your designs yet, so I can use magnetised shin guards and weapons/torso with Chaos icons for multi-army use, will see if I get time.

Lastly, a tip for removable panels, set 1.5mm X 1mm Rare-Earth magnets (no more than two or it will be too strong) into the panels using epoxy, if you set them flush with the surface you can paint straight over them. If you use Flashtack or CA they will eventually tear out so Epoxy FTW.

Also your painting is great, I can\'t see why you would have trouble with painting comps. Although if I might humbly suggest an airbrush for the titan (I picked up a professional one for car/bike detailing cheaper than one specifically for minis).

I don't know, maybe Fiesta is very busy at his internship, or mowing lawns to make dosh.

If I find the time I may post up my thoughts on building the weapons, but atm I am going through hijacked email hell... sad panda!

That's truly impressive. You have skills on your hands mate. Keep it up, when painted and textured, this is going to be something incredible.

Yeah, sorry guys, the thing is moving at a snail's pace right now. I'm a University student, see, and an NCAA Div I track athlete to boot. I get about 30 mins a week to work, tops...I've only gotten the bare bones of one arm done since August. However, I PROMISE that the project will not die!

plasticard

your project is coming along really well ive yet to see anything like as good, i would also have to say that seeing work of this quality has encouraged me to try messing about with the plasticard as apposed to millliput sculpts though my i.g. bunker first attempt turned out well enough this kind of project of yours raises the bar substantially keep up the good work:clap:

Practicing the mighty art of Threadomancy I ask the following question.

I was going to CAD up a "how to" of how to build both a Plasma Blastgun and Twin-linked Turbolaser and was wondering if anyone would like copies when I am done?

pm me if you are interested.

FYI I am not really into thread jacking but I thought it would be nice to keep the thing in the thread that inspired it, just to give kudos to Fiesta btw.

Yes, please! I'd like plans.

Even though I'm planning on using part of our tax refund this year on a Reaver (thank you Honey), I am planning on a couple scratch built Warhounds to go with it using the stuff Fiesta sent me a while back.

Hey Fiesta!

We know you are busy with school/track/internships/etc. Would you mind if someone OTHER than you took up the thread with a WIP based on your work, at an equivalent level of quality?
