This was built using the instructions from the GW site. I made one modification which is the texture of the stone base. I used green stuff to make the river stones (anyone know a cheaper solution?) and cereal box for the tiles on top. It took FOREVER. But, I'm pretty happy with it.

House looks great. For a chepaer alternative to GS for the cobbles/river rocks, try dried lima beans split in half and peeled. Glue them in place, seal them, and then paint them - instant cobblestones!

Great house. As for a cheaper solution to the base, I've seen textured wallpaper at the DIY that looks remarkable similar (thats what I thought it was at first glance) that goes for about $12 for 20 yards, but I haven't actually worked with it. You could also make the base out of BIF and etch out a stone texture on it. But yeah, great house. I like the weathering of the wood esp.
