Archaon - Chaos Lord
I painted this one a few years ago when it was first released. The model was for display at GW, so I wasn't able to indulge in any conversion work. I satisfied myself by giving him an unusual paint scheme. The armour was painted to resemble a shell, with a brown base slowly blending up to a circle pattern. I thought it would contrast well with the blue cloak. My favourite part of this piece was the daemon steed; I wanted to keep it subtle but at the same time pick out some of the great details on the muscles. I used a black base coat, blended up by adding greys to the mix, with a bit of purple ink added to give it some colour. Comments are welcome, Cheers
