Ogre Kingdoms Irongut (front)

This is the 'gutlord' that leads my Ogre Kingdoms Irongut unit (so he's a gaming piece as opposed to a showpiece) The model has been a blast to paint. I played with some new nmm techniques, and I'm satisfied with the result (particularly on the helmet and the blade). There are a number of conversions on the figure, including an almost-completely converted right arm and hand, a gut plate made from an orc shield and greenstuff, a sculpted scar across the back, a new blade, and a jumble of trophies that make up this fellow's spoils of war. The theme of the army is strongly anti-chaos, hence the busted axe and shield, and the daemon skin stretched across the gutplate. Enjoy! Comments are always appreciated. - Mike

The use of the ork shield with the eyes GS'd out to represent the Great Maw is an extremely original touch (*yoink*). I love this. It seems odd to say that it's understated, given the size of that sword, but it's not often I see NMM work so well on a gaming piece.

Actually, the pic from the forums looks better, so I'm voting on that one. This is incredible! Everything is so realistic. Congrats.
