Random Action Hero (tinsbits.de)
Hi there, those who know me know that I am a notorious non-finisher of miniatures ;) For the recent Duke of Bavaria (Herzog von Bayern) competition, I planned to paint the JMD Zenobe bust and needed to practice skintones. This great bust by Mati called "Random Action Hero" (available at www.tinsbits.de) was the right playground for me. I painted the Mini with Citadel and Vallejo Colors using very transparent glazes. The colors used for the skin are: Basecolor: - Tanned Flesh (GW) Highlights: - 1. Bronzed Flesh (GW) - 2. Elf Flesh (GW) - 3. Ivory (Vallejo Modelling Colors) Shadows: - Tanned Flesh with increasing quantities of Dark Sea Blue (Vallejo) It took me about three hours to get to this point. Of course, more highlights would have been possible, but for a test bust I found it sufficient. Btw: There are some really cool conversions of this bust out there! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed painting it. Stay hoopy, Zaphod
