Hopefully these pointers will be of some assistance to you... 1- Looking at the ends of the bones it lookslike you hve not taken the flash off the model (the thin line of platic around each part left by the mould/mold after casting) take it off before you assemble the model with a file or craft knife. 2- The gap running down the back of his right arm can be fixed with green stuff or similar. roll out long thin sausage and place over the offending gap after gluing the model together, then smooth it into place with a wet modeling tool. 3- As for the painting remember the basic stages-under coat, base colour (and it doesent have to be as dark as you think the next stage can take care of that), shade (with an ink or watered down paint {I mix in a tiny amount of washing up liquid, it breaks down the surface tension of the water and makes it settle into gaps easier}) this doesent have to all over the model and can be painted into gaps and folds and highlight. dont be afraid to experiment with painting, try different things on a small cheap model before going on to your bigger peices. 4- And practice....years and years of practice. 5- If doing a lot of models try mixing paints for your different stages, this helps with consistancy throughout your army. 6- A photo of the front would also be helpfull.
