Any immigration officers in the UK by any chance? Or employers in media or IT ready to give a work permit, for that matter?

I\'m a travel agent, but don\'t know for how long - got a new job, and things aren\'t working out that well.
I also worked in a few bars years ago, as a part-time.

Now, I\'m very intrigued by this:

I would bet, to some degree we\'re all getting paid to either take it or dish it out every day... I would like to think I\'m usually the one dishing it...but today I think I\'m on the other end...:(

I\'m a criminologist, with a specialization in national security policy. I\'m currently polishing off my MA, and with the intention of going for my doctorate next year. In the meantime, I do some policy analysis, and I\'m one of the chairs of a national security working group.

I was a redshirt at GW for four years during my undergraduate though.

Cheers,

Mike

Hmm, an engineer that paints miniatures, fools around with computers and likes Monty Python, oh no, I\'m a geek :(

But I also snowboard and go mountain biking so I\'m.... Action Geek (tm)

Cheers - Rab.

:D Yup! Planted trees, pruned and trimmed trees, harvested trees, baled them and shipped them off to wholesalers.
Incredibly boring work but in a beautiful setting :) 225 acres of side hill. Georgeous view down the valley. Absolutelyl zero pressure. For the most part just me and the deer and other forest denizens :) Didn\'t pay for s*&t. but I was in high school, so...

I\'ve studied Pholosophy and economic history at the university. I work part-time as a personal assistant for disabled peolpe and in the summers as a gardener.

I\'ve also undertaken a course in filmproduction.. and have worked as a first-assistant director, sound recording engineer and art-director on a coulpe of short-movies.

I find this topic very interesting.. it really brings life to all these tiny avatars.. ;)

That reminds me of my high school job. I could claim I was a genetic engineer!

I worked for a seed company that raised hybrid corn varieties. We went out in the cornfield and emasculated the corn so only the desired varieties could cross-pollinate.

I just like imagining all you guys squirming when I said \"emasculate\". :innocent:

Hrrrrr!

Uhm, not many jobs avaible too me. I have been on a paper route 3 times.. first time the paper got bankrupt(got my last paycheck one year after !!) then the last 2 times I got fed up)
But the city of Reykjavik offers all 14-16 year olds in the city jobs with the city, cutting grass, cleaning up stuff. Last year I worked in the local football arena..:|~ Cleaning 10 thousand seats for a whole day with 3 other guys is not fun.
But i\'ll soon get money for painting 2000points of high elves.. if you can call that a job lol

I work for the Railway, A railway signalling engineer to be more precise. My job involves the repainring of signalling equipment/systems when they fail. Basically we find the faults and repair them. I have been involved in major signalling renewal schemes/comissionings and also signalling failure ivestigations these are different to your everyday fault as these when they occur can have serious potentially life threatening circumstances e.g. Clapham.

Actually I am Computer Operator in a biiiiig spanish petro-chemical company.

This means that I spend 8 hours a day in front of several computer screens, surfing in the internet, waiting for a problem to happen and when it happens I suddenly leave my state of semi-unconsciousness and start a small period of frenzy working until the problem is fixed, and then the cycle begins again.

Before this exciting job, I´ve had some other jobs, also related to the electronics and computers...
