OT:

Do you know what Im realy sick of everywere on forums saying that kids are obnoxious brats that steal and smell bad. I happen to be one of those so called \"brats\" you talk about and I think this is a gross overgeneralysation. needless to say there are brats out there but do you people have to call every kid in this hobby a \"unsupervised gamestore brat\", I makes me angry.

I shall be coming and also have my ticket. The parking cost me £6.00 last year so if the same this year not bad.

Where/When will you other CMONer\'s meet?

Most of us meet either in the queues getting in or around the demon entries depending on who you know etc, otherwise we normally arrange a general meet up for around 1300 at one of the entrances (unless they move us on like last year as there was that many of us).

Squig don\'t take offence it\'s just a generalisation and if you have ever been up on one of the buses then you will know where us coffin dodgers are coming from :D

Well this year I\'d like to suggest that we all bring food and arrange to sit and nosh somewhere within the immediate locality of the NEC (Rain notwithstanding).
Last years trek over to the hotel was quite a distance, and their prices bleeding expensive (ok extortionate!).

While it was great to meet everyone last year (and previous years) I\'m beginning to feel that going outside of the Gamesday and sitting in a Bar is making us miss seeing some of the miniatures going into Golden Deamon. Beside which there were several people who didn\'t come over to the Hotel and missed out on conversations and I feel as if we may have exluded them without intent.


@Squig Hunter: Please allow that there are \"Objectionable Brats\" everywhere. Most of the problems stem from a few who\'s social skills are not as developed. These are the ones who unfortuntley stick out from the rest.
Oh and as to it being always kids, no there are several Adults as well who could do with lessons in Hygeine.
As to them stealing, as Generulpoleaxe will confirm, My friend and I have caught half a dozen from our local store alone. The first one we caught had over £90 of blister packs in his pockets and rucksack.

Oh and Squig Hunter congratulations for having the courage to speak out!

Fine by me DR, I\'ll go with the flow.

Hopefully I\'ll have a bit more sleep this time before travelling but somehow I doubt it very much but then if I did along with most people it just wouldn\'t be games day without the need to stay up all night to finish an entry at the last minute :D

Does anybody kknow if the Fanatic Ball and chain or similar prize will be up for grabs this year or have they pulled it for good never to be seen again?

The CMON picnic sounds like a good plan. There\'s certainly a nice enough area just outsdie the Forum (where Golden Demon is held). If raining we can always take to the stands at the far end of the arena.

As for the Fanatic Ball and Chain, the GW website seems to think it is but you can never tell what they\'re going to do (suddenly remembers 2004 when they cancelled 2nd and 3rd place in the Open because they forgot to order enough trophies...)

Cheers Steve, it was in last year as well right up to teh last minute when all of a sudden it wasn\'t, I even thought I was in with a shout at it last year as well with my ogres ...never mind live and hope I guess there is always another year and another place. Must start this years entries soon and not leave them till the last minute again :)

They are on sale now if you are a WD subscriber, not sure if that would include overseas subscribers though.

Sanjay does that mean you are going to buy out Forgworld again??? :D

Anyone know of a decent hotel in the area thats not too expensive?

Yep, last year my cousin and I went out there when it got too stifling/boring inside. The grass verge was bone dry and covered in desiccated rabbit droppings, but it was nice :D We ate out there, and my cousin smoked a few cigarettes :eek: He\'ll be with me this year too I hope, my parents don\'t want to come :] It\'ll be great meeting you guys!
