but seroissly (sp.) you could do this and any day you want to be nice be loyal and if your having a \"bad hair day\" be caos the converting oppetunities are enlesslol

You could do one of the cursed founding chapters: Black Dragons, Lamentors, Minotaurs, Legion of the Damned, Flame Falcons, Sons of Antaeus (or any other you can make up for yourself).

@Catman. I\'m not sure I understand the issue with the White Scars army having a problem with having a Titan accompying them.

Warhounds would fit in quite nicely with a White Scars force as they are quite nippy (as titans go).

I think a good question would be what do you want out of your army? What style of play suits you?
(Red shirt training kicking in)

Marines are good all rounders but they can be tailored to swing either toward an assault oriented force or a heavier, shootier army. So if you were in command of an army facing off against a hated foe would you

A: Leg it forward, beat em up and nick dere stuff.
B: Sit back and pound them into submission with superior firepower.
C: Try and do a bit of both.

see this is the problem....i love the space marine models, but when i play WHFB i\'m also a chaos player....i love all the fluff about chaos in 40k but i\'m not sure about the models, which is why i\'m not sure what to do (hence the reason for this post). I had thought about doing a pre heresy chapter but still not sure, as i don\'t know if i\'m allowed to use pre heresy armies in the GT\'s.

Iv got no idea but ill say yes,
just use the caos rules, why? because all these new weapons havent been invented, also heres some inspiration for pre-herasy stuff
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/spacemarines/painting/pre_heresy/default.htm

then you could have primachs BUT uprgrade with every possible upgrade:bouncy:
if you doing some blood angles then this
should help
-go on this link-http://www.exlibrismortis.org/- go to above and beyond, primach of the blood angles and your done.
or this if you want some space wolves-
http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=99060101294&orignav=301117- but I dont think its a very nice mini.

roger------ the problem is that white scars are a quich ambushing army and dont see how a titan can hide itself and run out. (the clues in the name):p

You could use the chaos rules to represent a Chapter on the verge of going renegade. It\'s entirely possible to have a CSM force without a hint of actual chaos on them. As they slipped deeper into damnation you could add a couple of units of marked marines into the mix or if they distinguish themselves in the Emperors service they could be rewarded with some loyalist equipment.

How about getting a small ambiguous force to begin with and both the CSM and SM codices. That way you could try out both styles before you commit yourself and it would give you a chance to generate your own Chapter history. Just make sure you only equip squads with options available to both lists. Having said that if you have a few spare marines you can always swap them in and out depending on which list you are playing.

I\'ll see if I can work out a viable list which fits into both Codices.

i have to admit that doing a titan in white scars livery/heraldry and colours would be pretty cool

if i do go with a pre-heresy army, i\'m going to send Scibor an email and find out how much it would cost to commission a primarch from him (i saw his Ferrus Manus model and my jaw dropped!)

If i decide to do pre-heresy iron hands then it will be before the drop site massacre, so i\'m presuming i can possibly do up a whole chapter/tribe of terminators....any thoughts on this guys?

what you could do is the rules for deathwatch but paint/model the mini differant.

the catman

btw- this is just if your wanting to play in a tornie, but if you are getting scibor to do the leader then maybe some other marines as well (this is just because scibors minis are so cool that gws minis will let the \"look\" down)

if i do get a Scribor mini, then it will be only for display OR use in local games, i won\'t be taking that one with me unless i can make my own one out of GW bits.....last i checked to take part in a tournie (ie one of the GT Heats) then the model has to be MOSTLY GW parts, not sure if it will be legal if it has been completely sculpted in GS. Anyone know if this is the case still?

I dont know, but you could add a weapon that gw made and say \"look, not just green stuff, this weapon here, you made that\". lollollol
or ask scibor to do it for you (add the plastic weapon). brother sinear. is also a good sculptor who does work for commision.

Scibors stuff (not to my taste but hey) would be perfectly fine to use \"in store\" as it\'s a greenstuff conversion and not produced by a rival mini company, also Scibor tends to use GW parts in his conversions anyway.

If you do get a titan don\'t forget that it wouldn\'t be in the same livery as your marines as the marines don\'t own the titan. Titans are part of the Adeptus Mechanicus Titan Legions so whilst it might be attatched to the SM army it would have it\'s own heraldry and colour scheme.

The Iron Hands models are rather nice and they do a US Direct Sales only Iron Father

i like that model, and i would probably buy it later, however i had thought about possibly converting my own one (utilizing techmarine parts and the Lysander model - would that make an Iron Father or would it be a Iron Commander? Also, anyone know if you can get Terminator Bionic arms?

Ekkanus

hmmm its just that in the Index Astartes for Iron Hands, theres a terminator who\'s right arm is a bionic.....

Im not sure (i dont have the book) but maybe he cut the bionic part of the arm of from the iron farther and cut out some of the termie and stuck in the arm part.???
