LOL Cheelfy.....

The person asked for the gang to painted as close as possible to the studio version and alas the studio version had him in this color scheme. I would honestly would have gone somewhere along the line of white to a beige white scheme myself.

Alright the Seamus Redchapel Gang are complete.

Hope you guys like them.

Been a while, but back again with a new project.

This time something a little different from what I am used to, but will prove to be a fun project never the less.

I will be painting up some Warmachine models, more specifically Protectorates of Menoth. Great looking models.

Not much to show here, but a little teaser of what to come.

Starting off with a unit of 12 Exemplar Errants, primed and ready to go. Never painted on grey primed models before, so it will be an interesting experience. If you're wondering which primer I have chosen.....its the Krylon Grey Primer.

Looking forward to C&C

Till next time

Update!!

Started on the Exemplar Errants today and more specifically the champion.

I will be following the Black Templar color scheme on these guys, as requested by my client.

So far the armour and cloth are near completion.

C&C always welcomed.

Thanks

Update!!!

First model from the Errant's unit champion is near completion, just need to finish the base and make due with the final touch ups.

The bases will represent barren landscape, so I decided that cork shaped and mashed will do the trick.

More to come...

Works fine for me but your white needs improving, it is too pure so it doesn't look realistic, pure white must only be used parsimoniously when painting white, for edges, the rest has to be another colour close to white.

What would be the best way in doing so....I always seem to find white to be a tricky color to go about.

I think re-working it would be the best, painting a bright grey colour and then blend up to pure white for the extreme edges. Dilute a lot your paint or white will look to thick.

Thanks...I'll definitely give that a go....but again depends on what the client is after, since he wanted a bright/vibrant white...I kinda went in that direction.

There is one thing I am finding difficult to achieve though and that is to bring the symbols up. In other words...I'm trying to bring the 3D element into the symbols. I tried washes and it didn't really work and ended up messing the white a bit. I also tried painting the black as close as I can to the edge, but doesn't seem to work either.

Any suggestion would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Up with a another update....

Started on the first half of the Exemplar Errant unit.

Done the Black armour and the red cloth. Some areas require some touching up, but pretty much half way done with them.

C&C are always welcomed

Thanks
