Make up....never thought of that....since I was trying to get it as close as possible to the studio version (that had no make up on).

What make up do you guys recommend me trying...lipstick, eye shadows..etc

Thanks for the comments

well the hard thing is to make it look like bad makeup and not clownish or just bad painting...
a little pink/red lipstick, and some neat eyeshadow would do it! :)

btw, check out this version by scott radom, for inspiration

Alright...been quite for a bit, but here again for a new update.

Started on the first Rotten Belles model. Worked mostly on her skirt for now....so please excuse the mess for everything will come together soon.

Purple is probably the one color I have worked with so much....don't know why....but it seems I always go back to it, no matter I much I hate working with that color :doh!::silly:

C&C are always welcomed

Till next time

Thanks Cheelfy...always a great help...I added a bit of pink to the purple mix to add a bit of the highlights on the dress.

The dress is pretty much done and now working on the top portion of the model. I found out quickly that pink is a strange and difficult color to work with....ended up mixing some flesh color to the pink in order to bring some smoothness and adherence to the model.

Needs a little bit of work....but getting there.

C&C are always welcomed

Thanks

Back again with a quick update!!

The overall clothing is pretty much done....need to touch up on the details---frills etc.

In addition have already started on the skin and just in need to finish up some final highlighting and face detail.

The arms will be finished off with "arm stockings" if that is what they are called....that's why they look a bit unfinished.

Should be able to get this done by tomorrow.

C&C are always welcomed

Thanks

PS: Is it me...or attaching pics does not seem to be working on my end.....oh well on to plan B ;)

Up with another update....

Started on the second Rotten Belles. Hopefully this one will go by a little quicker than the other two, since red is a color I find easy to work with.

She is near completion as far as her clothes go....maybe a little bit of highlight and shading on her dress.

Hope you like it

C&C are always welcomed

Thanks

Update!!

Was able to get most of the skin tone, hair and boots done today and yesterday. A little bit of touching up and the majority of the model is done.

Only thing left to finish is her arms and umbrella.

C&C are always welcomed

Till next time

Thanks

Hi SciPunk, you're doing a good job getting these onto the table, fun minis :good:

Working toward smoother paint & subtler blending looks to be where you're at (I know the feeling). The Red highlighting on the dress looks fine in these big photos but I doubt it's easy to see at actual size, more depth required. Running lines of lightly thinned Badab Black into the most shaded areas (smudging it about a bit to kill any hard lines) should help to provide more definition without any repainting. Also along the top & bottom of the chain & all around those rosettes that are bunching her skirt up, when you put their paint on the pre-shading you've done should help them to stand out neatly without necesarily having to paint them too brightly.

For the highlights, a tiny bit of Dwarf Flesh into the Blood Red and pop it on some of the most pronounced areas. Don't worry about trying to run it along every single raised area, just a flash of highlight to help sell the detail of the mini: top side of the boobs, top of belly button, etc.

Are you going to paint flesh into the tear in her dress on her belly? Consider a touch of green to the shading of the flesh? Should sit neatly next to the dress & help to "rot" her a touch"?

Keep it up :)

Cheers, B.

Thanks B....those tips really helped me out there.

Up with a new update.

The model is near completion. I noticed after taking the pic that the eyes needs to be redone and one or two more highlights/shading.

Other than that I'm ready to start on the next model.

Thanks

Up with a new update...

Not much of a WIP since its completed, but been pressed for time.

This is the the third and final Rotten Belles of the group. I consider her my favorite out of the three sculpts.

Next is Seamus himself.

C&C are always welcomed.

Thanks

How many of these weird minis do you still have?
Maybe a freehand on the blue dress could be good.

Only one more....Seamus who is the gang's leader....will be posting pics of him soon.

As for the free hand....I for one am not too good with them yet....so would probably leave it for another time

Thanks

Up with another update!!

Completed Seamus the gang leader.

He is the last of the models in the box set. The only thing needed is to complete the bases and provide you guys with a group shot of the whole gang.

Hope you like it.

And thanks all for the C&C that was provided through out this little project. All of them were of great help.

Next on the line.....Necromunda---House Escher Gang

Thanks

I think he's the best painted of all those guys but this pink doesn't work for me. It makes him look as if he was going to a gaypride.
