Hi SciPunk, you're doing a good job getting these onto the table, fun minis :good:
Working toward smoother paint & subtler blending looks to be where you're at (I know the feeling). The Red highlighting on the dress looks fine in these big photos but I doubt it's easy to see at actual size, more depth required. Running lines of lightly thinned Badab Black into the most shaded areas (smudging it about a bit to kill any hard lines) should help to provide more definition without any repainting. Also along the top & bottom of the chain & all around those rosettes that are bunching her skirt up, when you put their paint on the pre-shading you've done should help them to stand out neatly without necesarily having to paint them too brightly.
For the highlights, a tiny bit of Dwarf Flesh into the Blood Red and pop it on some of the most pronounced areas. Don't worry about trying to run it along every single raised area, just a flash of highlight to help sell the detail of the mini: top side of the boobs, top of belly button, etc.
Are you going to paint flesh into the tear in her dress on her belly? Consider a touch of green to the shading of the flesh? Should sit neatly next to the dress & help to "rot" her a touch"?
Keep it up
Cheers, B.
