Rotten Champion ... I hate this guy ... Three times I tried to finish him and change sth every time. I'm still not happy with his head and whole composition. Maybe becouse i spent so many hours sculpting it ...










And for dessert Rotten Barbarian. I plan to make five of them as a set:

Wow, I love your stuff, RF!! Def a Nurgle-army in the making! I have a classic GW chaos army from the 80's, but nowadays I'm more into 1st-level characters than 10th, so that's what I'm sculpting. (Thanks for your feedback in my WIP thread, btw! I'm going to take your advice about the chainmail.)

I especially like the beast in progress. How tall is it? I'm currently sticking all my excess putty onto a baluchitherium, which is 100mm high at the shoulders. Your beast is most inspiring for that project.

You asked about human zombies or monster zombies: MONSTER ZOMBIES! I love the zombie elephant you did! I'd like to see zombie-horses, zombie-trolls, and zombie-tigers, etc.

One more thing: I really appreciate the step-by-step photos you took of the muscled ogre with the flail. It's helpful for beginners like me to see how other people go about this process.

I'm very happy that my stuff inspired someone .Thank You for suggestions about zombie/rotten miniatures. My next project will be a hero on horse, but first i have to finished all other stuff. Trolls .... i need to sculpt them !
I will try to make more step by step photos. I have never thought that sth like that will be helpfull for someone XD

Just found this thread. You've got a lot of great, exciting sculpts here. I agree that the beast looks perhaps the most professional, but I really like the almost packhorse look of the more human-sized figures.

I had paln to start cast miniatures in the beginning of December, but i still waiting for resin ... (one week, and i get an e-mail today that i have to wait one week more ...)
It's frustrating - I have all tools, molds, everything , but not resin ;P.

Looks like you're making some fine casts from the picture. Is it costing you a lot in resin?

When you finally get that balance of great casts with great sculpts your going to know deep within that this is what your meant to do,it's what you were always meant to do...some guys are drs and make folks happy keeping them healthy,some folks are film directors they make people happy by giving them make believe stories.some folks however very few in this circle of greatness,these folks bring joy and happiness to the foundation of fantasy art creativity.they are the cornerstone of what makes painters like myself covet these tiny ,yet enormously beautiful structures that make our mind start envisioning almost instantly what color the flesh would be or will the textures suit this and images of what the finished piece will be...this can only happen when brilliant sculptors create and give unto us these great models in their infant stages....yes some of us bear the title proud of creators,innovators.......in a word...sculptors.

Foxtail - hmm ... not really, but i have to make lot of bubble miniatures to finally learn how to make a perfect one. So in the end ... a lot of resin ;P
