My first few VC things are up. More are nearing completion and should be up by the end of the day.

Thank you. The final detailing with the lining was done with a brush, but there are lower level more subtle shading and highlights done with an airbrush followed up with glazes of various mixed washes.

I have been busy and got more stuff done!

I don't usually outwardly praise myself about my models, in fact I usually just see what needs to be worked at and improved. Even though I can see things like that a plenty on the Mortis Engine, and it's by no means perfect, I'm dead happy with how it's turned out and am patting myself very slightly on the back, especially as I'm still taking on big, challenging kits and keeping the pace pretty high. I've done 8 models since Saturday and 6 are monster sized and one is this massive thing.

The Coven Throne is done except for some finishing touches to the Vampires too so should be in here tomorrow. :)

Some good looking vamps there. I know you have a lot on your plate with project but you should do some videos of your work as how to speed paint multiple types of models at once. The army painter video that they sell here on cmon is ok but it just shows them painting space marines.
As far as being sick again I hate to say it but you may need to get out in the sun to get your daily dose of vitamin D.
Good luck

Man I'm doing too much at the moment and I had a particularly mental moment yesterday when I couldn't find my box of strip styrene plastic rods. Ended up turfing out the majority of the drawers in my room and making the place a right tip, then discovering them in the most ridiculously illogical storage place ever and cursing myself for putting them there in the first place. Madness may be creeping in already! ;) Anyways, here are the linkys through to the first few of the latest finished units. More tomorrow. Oh, and I'm feeling fairly well. About bloody time! :) Videos are something I'd like to do at some point, but for now I don't really have the setup. Hopefully in a month or two I can sort that kind of thing out.

I can't seem to get decent photos of these bloody models. Focus and colour tone both failing me. Grrrr!

But I'm rather pleased with these ones in the flesh and photo form.

Finally finished another bloody model! I am so pleased to have managed to paint something again, even if I did have to stay up until almost 5am to finish it. My entry for the latest Iron Painter. First round - the theme was 'start your engine'. I made it and painted it between 7pm and 4am. Was fun to just focus in and complete something pretty involved pretty fast.

Thanks. The last one may well be my favourite thing I've done so far this year. It's nice to work on a more personal piece every so often.

I absolutely love that piece. It is so sweet and just wonderfully executed. There is something nostalgic about it too.

It's amazing when miniatures transcend themselves and become art. This one does so.

freakinacage - Good spot. I hadn't even considered that until you mentioned it. Normally it's something I would have done or been bothered about not doing, but the pace I was going at it seems I just skimmed over it without a care.

supervike - Yeah, I certainly started to feel pretty nostalgic as it started to come together. Normally my models are pretty grim, grimy and gory, so a break to embrace the nicer things is very welcome from time to time. Concerned about creating art though, does that mean I have to take a cut in salary? ;)

Really nice work! On the Salamander especially, I would just hit it with a light coat of clear flat via airbrush.

Here's a question: why's Galadriel giving the nazi salute? =O j/k

Again, really good work. Happy painting.

Some seriously great looking minis here! One thing that I would do for the blood splots is to put down a little dark brown under the blood red to give some of it a dried out look and add a little depth. But that's just me. Keep painting and posting! - Happy painting.
