Hi Pate, pre-production greens, I meant the Roper here...

I don't mean paint a human style eye necesarily, just that you can see how the gloss works better over a paler colour. You can still keep it dark purple in the main though, I just think some lighter colour (rather than white reflection dot) will help to sell the effect better. Perhaps some red veins top & bottom, tapering toward centre?

Yes, those greens;D doesn't inspire much hope! But the finished product was pretty awesome

I'll experiment some with it. Hopefully the fact that I've varnished the eyes wont f*ck everyting up

Nope... 1st of this month I recieved a mail saying he'd take care of it, which I read as that it would be sent to me. Guess he never got around to sorting it Looks like I'll have to try out the baking soda! It looks like I'll be able to finish him tomorrow, so there'll be more pics then^^

Still not finished:/ There's actually quite a lot of work elft though. Both the arms, both feet and basically all of the metal... Yeah the gems still aren't finished and I yet have to rework the eyes You can see it getting there now though! Also I've made some small adjustments to the pose.

Basically I wanted to post this becuase I'll be gone for a couple of weeks. Me and the lass is moving the day after tomorrow, and we'll be getting a doggie on saturday so I guess I wont have that much time

Your army looks great....And the eyes on the Dread looks great in its subtle, creepy kinda of way.

The base also does justice to the model overall.

I'm not sure if it's dripping of him or not When it comes to minis intended to game with I'm not that big of a fan of "static" bases, I want them to be able to blend in anywhere, so it doesn't seem like the mini is carrying the scenery with him, hehe. I'm tripping a bit on the edge with this base though. If's dripping of him I imagine that he would've had to be standing still for quite some time, which would make it a "static" base. On the other side i'm not sure how common green ooze is on your average 40k battlefield Anywhoooo once I'm ready to glue him to the base I'll incorporate some slime to the feet so it looks like he's standing in it, and not on top of it

They certainly do! What's awesome is that a chaos fw dread, including arms and shipping, is only 4-5£ more expensive than the "stock" chaos dread. And that's not taking shipping into account for the stock dread, it's been free shipping from gw for a couple of months now though.

Ho ho ho, "Sand-arne", never heard that before There's even a local "myth", with emphasis on the " ", about it! It's said that it got its name from this bloke named Arne that used to sand the streets in the winter. Complete BS ofcourse Not even kids finds it likely Don't worry if you haven't heard about it, my little town, not even people from sandarna are certain to have heard ot sandarne

I think I read on the site that it would take something like 24h if it was in stock, wich it was at the time of purchase! Well, it has taken 24 hours, can't say argue with that. 24 hours + 29 days Need to compose a mail, I really raelly want that pigment. I don't think i'll get around to finishing the metal without it.
