Forgive my ignorance, but what coin is that?

EDIT: I\'ve just noticed Trevor\'s location, so I have revised my assessment of the animal from mole through hedgehog to echidna (sp?) 5 cents? I am thoroughly ashamed to admit that i am not sure what the currency of Oz is:duh:

More like a egg laying hedge hog I think

Thanks Yeah, egg laying hedgehog. They are really cute, I took some artistic liscence with the colours, they are actually very dark brown, but the spines are various shades of black through brown to white.

The coin makes its long snout look more like the bill of a duck billed platypus, it should really be the same colour as the rest of the body.

The award goes to Trevor! For a crazily detailed and wonderfully cute echidna! There\'s no real prize other than getting to say you\'ve an online painting competition ( ) and spending it to see the look on the cashier\'s face if you so choose (try and find a cashier who hasn\'t worked at the store too long and isn\'t braindead yet). When there\'s no prize there\'s no reason not to keep at it. I am still planning on finishing my VA marines and the penny is next (after I finish painting horses for my wife\'s christmas present).
