Nice work Ed! Love the anatomy of the torso, and the hands are wicked. Face still seems a WIP. He looks a bit too cheerful, but I know you've still got more to do. I'm guessing you've done the teeth but will have another layer for the lips to get more of a feral snarl? He could certainly pick that elf up and break him!

Thanks, head is now done. I also began thevamp, next to him in his picture to give you scale. Not 100% set on the loin cloth yet, might make him naked, seems more fitting.

The vamp is going to be part membrane under the arms and rather tasty when done.

Little bit for you:
Ok, here is the hands and the tutorial before the membranes:
vamp4.jpg

1) I mash a piece of fresh putty on the hand and make sure you leave enough to sculpt the wrists. You need to push the wrist in also, huge importance.
4) see this pic, as the hands are still wet roll out thin sausages and apply them to the fresh hand, has to be fresh. Dry and these will pop off, it's very delicate work and they must be fixed well.
5) now bend them into position how you like. I use my finger to push the tip and put my tool under it to get a sharp bend. You might need to do this multiple times as it drys.
2) roll another sausage but this time even no taper to it.
3) cut in half evenly. These will be used to create you knuckles.
6) attach some tubes for the wrists and knuckles close to hands. These need to be done while fresh also and will give strength for the rest.
7) blend them in, not much to say here you will have your own style.
8) let this part dry and then repeat the same steps for the rest of the knuckles. They will be much stronger now and easier than the first set as it is all bonded together.

Hope this helps you all.

I don't know about anyone else, but i'm seriously chuffed to see a little "how to" thrown in. Cheers for taking the time to do that, i've taken it on board in case I should find myself having to sculpt hands. Something I always regarded as probably being an utter bastard to do =P
As for the WIP itself, it's really awesome. The definition and pose is brilliant. Deffinately something I can see myself picking up and painting simply because it just looks so fun to do!

Here is a shot of the finished vamp with a resin master, not the best picture but hope you can see? These will be metal but I have work for others to finish first.

They are big, 60mm is the small guy but price will be $16 a troll tops. I made them mid size slightly big but also works for giants of such and the range can be used for other items, etc. this way. Hope you all like them.

Very nice work! Love how the vampire turned out. You finally got the head to come round in the end! I may have to get one of him for myself.

Trolls are ... well ... frightening. ;) Teenager is just as disturbing as the rest. I like his gaunt stomach (not as big, can't get quite as much food at dinner time?) And the topknot (as close to troll fashion as these guys get?)
